deserve. Our mission is to provide shelter, food, care and protection for the animals in our custody. Also, through farm tours and via social media, we give the animals a voice to tell the public their stories. Dominifarm’s rescued animals function as ambassadors so visitors and/or viewers can watch their daily lives, get to know each animal, and gain an appreciation for their species. DOMINIFARM:

-Welcomes public, private, group, organization, school, and corporate visitors, by appointment only. Private tours are by donation, suggested at $25/hour for up to four people.

🦚 Pegleg the one‑legged peacock is our pride and joy.

He came to the sanctuary two years ago after his loving owner had to move out of state. She had cared for his mom, Peggy, for more than twenty years, and Pegleg since the day he hatched six years ago. He was deeply loved
— but he needed a safe place to land.

When he was a tiny peachick, Pegleg’s dad attacked him, leaving his leg so badly injured it never healed. Since then, he’s lived his whole life hopping on one leg, always with his mom by his side. Peggy is fiercely protective of him — she watches over him, shields him, and makes sure he’s never alone.

And this year, something magical happened.

For the first time in his life, Pegleg fanned his gorgeous tail.
Standing tall on his single leg, he opened his wheel of feathers wide and proud — confident, handsome, and absolutely radiant. Watching him shine like that, after everything he’s been through, warmed my whole heart.

Peggy and Pegleg are living proof of something we believe with our whole souls:

Pegleg the one-legged peacock fanned his tail for the first time ever, standing proud on his single leg while his senior mom, Peggy, watched over him.

Today was a mix of hope and heartbreak.
Peanut’s leg sprain during the windstorm should heal soon… but we also had to say goodbye to one of our sweet older goats. Sanctuary life is love, care , and sometimes the hardest decisions, but we always put quality of life first. Very grateful for Dr Schultz’s compassion today.

♥️ My house blew away… but love showed up 🦬

Last Thursday was really hard.

A windstorm destroyed my little house and smashed my fence. In seconds I had no home… nowhere safe to go.

But then something beautiful happened, people showed up. They fixed my fence, cleared the debris, and made sure I was not alone.

My house couldn’t be saved, and the sanctuary’s emergency funds were low…. but mom searched all day and found me a tiny barn on clearance. She put a donation link on FB hoping for a miracle.

And you became that miracle.

So many kind humans — even one’s who never met me — donated to help me get a new home.
Mom made the deposit, and my barn arrives in 2-3 weeks.

I’m overwhelmed, I’m safe, and I’m so grateful.

Hi friends…. it's me, Peanut.
Mom just paid the deposit on my beautiful 10 x 16 mini-barn today, and guess what…it even has a loft to store my bedding!
It was bought locally from the Old Hickory Sheds dealer in Eagle, ID, and should be delivered within 2-3 weeks. It's the exact same model that's in the picture.
Thank you for helping me get a new little house after the storm broke mine.
I was scared and didn't know where I'd sleep, but you made sure I'll be safe and protected again.
My tiny heart is so grateful.

💔 Our mini-cow needs help.
The devastating windstorm destroyed Peanut's shelter and left him completely homeless. It broke my heart to see his little house in pieces.

We've found a lovely 10x16 mini barn at Old Hickory Sheds that is currently on clearance until 5/31. It is very well built and will keep him safe and protected from the elements. We have some funds available, but we're still $1,615 short of being able to bring it home for him.
If you're able to help us reach this goal — even a few dollars — it would mean the world to us and give our sweet boy a safe place again. ♥️🦬🏡

Last night, a windstorm hit our Sanctuary hard, destroying structures and crushing our fencing flat. It's a miracle every animal survived. Only little Peanut is limping, but he's hanging in there.
We desperately needed help… and you showed up.
Within minutes, an incredible group of people arrived — lifting heavy debris, picking up broken pieces, fixing the fence, making the area safe again for our animals.
Your kindness turned a heartbreaking moment into a reminder of what community really means: showing up, standing together, and choosing compassion even when times are tough.

Hi Kuna neighbors!
It’s Dominique at Dominifarm. The windstorm did some damage and crashed two of our animal shelters into the fence. One broke down completely, and the other one tipped over.
It’s 4:45 pm, and we need help right now!!!! To move the large pieces in order to fix our electric fence temporarily. We’re located at the corner of Kuna and Cloverdale Rd.
If you are strong and handy, the cows and I would truly appreciate your assistance.
Please don’t bring any kids. Thank you!

Ol' Willie is our newest rescue. Because he never had his hooves taken care of before, his legs have become deformed. This month, he had his first hoof trim... and didn't like it! He even slightly bit the farrier, which had never happened to her with a goat before. He's much more comfortable now. He's already made many friends and is a happy retiree at the sanctuary.

Charles is our king of hearts. He's a lovable bundle on hoof. He craves love and affection and will roll on his back for a belly rub. He adores his girlfriend, Diana, and they make the cutest royal couple. Charles is a Kune Kune pig. He's as tall as he's wide. Pigs are the most relatable animals on the farm because they're very much like us. They're also the most intelligent. Charles is very talkative and will let you know what he wants and how he feels in a long sentence of grunts. We adore you, Charles, and are so proud of the amazing pig you've grown up into. 🐷💕
