incorporated in the State of Idaho. Located in Kuna, ID, the sanctuary provides a permanent loving home for all types of rescued backyard farm animals. We make sure that they live out their entire lives in peace at the sanctuary, where they are treated with the kindness and respect they deserve. Our mission is to provide shelter, food, care and protection for the animals in our custody. Also, through farm tours and via social media, we give the animals a voice to tell the public their stories. Dominifarm’s rescued animals function as ambassadors so visitors and/or viewers can watch their daily lives, get to know each animal, and gain an appreciation for their species. DOMINIFARM:

-Welcomes public, private, group, organization, school, and corporate visitors, by appointment only. Private tours are by donation, suggested at $25/hour for up to four people.
-Provides people with special needs the opportunity to interact with socialized animals as a form of therapy and rehabilitation. WAYS YOU CAN SUPPORT US:

For those who don’t know us…
Dominifarm is a little beacon of hope in Kuna, Idaho.
We care for seniors and special‑needs animals — horses, mules, donkeys, birds, bunnies, alpacas, emus, even a tortoise — all finding safety and love here.
Our volunteers keep every heart cared for, and our community keeps us going.
We’re not open to the public due to zoning, but our mission is stronger than ever.

Two years ago, my family had to move from their big acreage in Star to a tiny home in Boise. They loved me, but they didn’t have an aviary anymore… and I can’t fly, so the wild isn’t safe for me.

So I came here.
And now I live with two doves, a rooster, and an old blind rabbit. We’re an odd little bunch, but we’ve made our own family. We nap together, snack together, and look out for each other.

I may not fly… but I’ve landed exactly where I belong.” ♥️🐦

Sunday is the day we make sure every little heartbeat is doing alright.

Savanna, Danica, and Natalia move through the sanctuary with the kind of calm care that makes the animals relax the moment they see them. Two of them are vet techs, so they know exactly what to look for and how to help. Their hands and their knowledge are priceless here.

When the bunnies started scratching, they caught it instantly. Our vet sent a prescription, Savanna cleaned their tiny ears, and the treatment went on gently and carefully. ♥️🐰 #


By the next day, the bunnies were back to hopping, snacking, and living their happy little lives again.

“Hi, it’s Spunky.
Life at the sanctuary is basically a soap opera… starring me.

I’ve been grieving my best friend for a long time. My old heart felt so heavy. But lately… Vinny has been making me smile again. It’s slow, but I think I’m falling for him.

I did have a cute little house with my name on it… until two pigs stole it and moved right in. So now I’m homeless and dramatic about it.

Mom found the sweetest little shed that would be perfect for me and Vinny — our own cozy spot, plus a fenced area so he can wander safely when she’s gone.

She’s also been piling up straw so everyone stays warm and comfy. Safety and softness are everything here.

I just wanted you to know what my little world looks like… and how much love lives in it.” 💗🐷

💛 A Gift That Means the World to Our Animals
Yesterday we received a wonderful surprise — a gently used cart, wheelbarrow, water trough, and 4 manure forks for our animals.

Donations like this make a huge difference.
They save us money we can put toward feed and vet care.
They make chores easier for our volunteers.
And they give our elderly and special‑needs residents more comfort and safety every single day.

We’re always grateful for clean, good‑condition farm equipment and animal supplies —
tack, heated bowls, buckets, electric fencing, gardening tools, hoses, gates, dog kennels, dog beds…
every item helps us care for the ones who need gentleness most.

And yes — we still dream of adding a cattle chute to the sanctuary someday. 🐂

Hi, I’m Gabriella,

I spent 13 years as a brood mare, and when I grew older, my future became uncertain. Animals like me don’t often get a second chance once we’re no longer “useful.” But instead of being discarded, I was given something rare — a place to retire in peace.

At Dominifarm, I found safety, kindness, and a life where my only job is to enjoy my golden years surrounded by love. Caring for retired farm animals is one of the most meaningful parts of this sanctuary’s mission… and I’m living proof of what that second chance looks like.

Our little bunny colony enjoys a peaceful life in their 30’x30’ aviary, a safe space wired from bottom to top so they can roam, dig, play, and stay protected. They share their home with five elderly guinea pigs and a few miniature chickens, all living together in a gentle, quiet rhythm.

We keep their diet balanced with hay, rabbit pellets from Big D Ranch, and fresh fruits and veggies. Because rabbits struggle in the heat, summer means fans, shade cloths, and extra care. They actually love cooler weather — as long as they’re out of the wind and humidity, they handle cold beautifully. In winter, we tarp their 10’x20’ shelter and pack it with straw so they stay warm and cozy.

One of the sweetest moments of the day is opening the aviary gate and seeing most of them hop over to greet us. Rabbits are social but also territorial, and once a herd is established, it can take time for them to accept a newcomer. That’s why space, shelter, and stability matter so much.

There’s a huge demand for rabbit rehoming, but with limited room, our aviary is currently full. Every bunny here has a safe place to live, play, and thrive — and that’s only possible because of the people who support Dominifarm.
