🌼ALLERGY SEASON HAS STARTED 🌼
With the super light winter be prepared for some major changes to you and your pups skin this year!!!!
Look out for:
*itching (body, face, ears, feet, etc)
*redness and rashes
*dry/flakey skin
* runny/goopy eyes
*sneezing/coughing (if constant check with your vet this can be a more serious symptom of other illnesses)
Pets and People are being affected hard by allergies even those who normally don’t have problems. (Dogs naturally become more sensitive and can become allergic to new things as they get older as well )
We are always using hypoallergenic and soothing shampoos and products to try to help the pups with itching, rashes, dryness, etc. but there’s not much more help we can offer. Unfortunately one bath every few weeks/months just doesn’t do much long term. 😔
We recommend talking to your vets about options for allergy flare up relief at home in between your groomings.
This could involve:
* over the counter medications
*prescription medications
*allergy/steroid type shots
*prescription shampoos (these we can use during grooms if you bring in 😉)
*washing at home more often
* product changes at home (floor cleaners, laundry detergent, vacuum more often,etc)
*lawn maintenance (different weed/bug sprays , change all clothes after mowing, etc)
Hang in there everyone! We will make it through another allergy season!! 🤗
