Wulf's Den

Would anyone be interested in a afternoon buried sent work class?
If so, what level would you want to work?
Would you want to work novice (sand)or would you like to work advanced(water) or would you like to work with both and all the odors?
I’m thinking of an afternoon session followed by an early evening session. The goal is to be done by 7:30.
Let me know if there’s interest for any of that! And we will see what we could work out

If you attended the last Karen Deeds seminar here in August, did you by chance get video of Karen working with Bock, desensitizing him to the broom?

This came up in my Facebook memories today so I thought I’d share. From 4 years ago-

Here are CrackerJack’s results from Monday’s ASCA Obedience trial.
Trial 1-Q! And CD title
Moved to Open for trial 2. That was purely to see his ability to perform at that level. I wanted to see the holes in our training.

I had to research to find out the last time I competed in Obedience!
I’ve put 5 CD’s on 3 German Shepherd Dogs in 3 registries
1st being Wulf prior to 1994.
Tyr got his U-CD in 1999
Lar got his AKC CD in 2005
I’ve only put a CDX on one dog, Wulf, who earned his U-CDX in 1994 and came back at age 8 to earn his AKC CDX in 1998.
So 2005 was the last I ever titled in Obedience at any level.
(Tanner and Gus were into different things)
On Monday CrackerJack got Q 3 for his ASCA CD!
So we moved up to Open where I hadn’t shown since 1998!!!
It had been a long time but I had a lot of fun, and of course it always feels better to bring home ribbons! AND a good dog!

Here are the rules and signs for the WCRL Flash Class! That is what I will be focused on in prep for the Sept. 26 trial at What a Great Dog in Richardson! Need to practice? Let me know and we can set up a time, preferably with two-three people!

Working on calm greetings. Watch how Cracker looks at her and then at me, and he gets marked and reinforced for that.

Thanks to those of you who were at the seminar on Saturday I was able to use part of your fee to restock the free pantry in Krum. This pantry is open 24 seven inside the fire station, well lit and climate controlled. There’s no paperwork no requirements just food for people who need it.

Bite Not collar. Looking for a new home! Never used! Tanner approved😉
Condition
New
Post surgery collar to prevent dogs from licking incision. Perfect for neuter recovery time. Unlike the traditional Cone of Shame when wearing this there’s no running into walls or limited movement while crated. This is new, still in the wrapper and 7” in width. Easy to Velcro on! Due to a shipping delay I ended up with a spare! Pick up in Krum, $40

It’s going to be a FUN day! Karen Deeds returns!

Just a heads up if you are coming Saturday for Karen’s seminar that I-35 will be closed at Corporate Dr. with traffic being diverted onto the service roads. Allow time for the detour!
