Although we still do dog training and we are no longer doing any service dog training- due to my schedule and search and rescue work, I wanted to share this⦠I love you Maya⦠Forever!
Yesterday was a happy day- and then I got a call, a call a friend, dog trainer, rescuer- never wants to get. I was notified that one of the best Doberman dogs ever, passed away of stage 4 cancer.
βMAYAβ- you started off wanting to eat me- lol- and together, we accomplished you becoming a mobility and retrieving service dog. You were an amazing friend and dog. I will forever love you- and remember you, our times, and your silly antics. You retrieved so well, your owner couldnβt even walk you in the neighborhood without picking up all the litter- lol- she had to walk with a Walmart bag because you were on litter patrol too! Iβll see you at the gates, for now, run with the angels sweet Maya- you helped me, and others with your wonderful heart. You even helped our friend Maleka and trained her to accept your nose touching her as you dropped items into her hand. You helped her gain confidence walking with her, to prepare her for Doodles, her service dog. My heart is brokenπ but, I know youβre in heaven- waiting on usβ¦ I love you Maya- always and forever.
