Meet Nova!
Nova got to meet Leiutenant Johnson today. And just in time for her Facebook debut!
Nova is a 6 month old Australian shepherd/poodle mix, but her behavior is ALL aussie puppy🫩
Always playing, yapping, running circles outside, and she constantly wants your attention, she HAS to be touching you in some way or another. Which is unlucky for those with dog allergies, she isn't hypoallergenic!
While it's true that she sheds less due to her having hair instead of fur, it's still pretty common for poodle mixes to produce the allergen.
After all, there is no such thing as a 100% hypoallergenic dog. In fact, poodle mixes are more likely to develop skin issues as they age, including becoming allergic to themselves!
Nova loves to see new people, places, or things! She seeks out adventure and fun wherever it is to be had.
She loves dogs, cats, people, and chickens! Any family would be lucky to add her to the pack!

I love my job. Absolutely love what I do. My job has supplied my family with all the things..The ability for my husband to be a stay at home parent for our 3 "now grown" children. Paid for the construction of our home, utilities, groceries and expenses. Provided for dance lessons, little league, prom dresses and tuxs, 1st cars. Provided a place for displaced grandchildren during divorces and deployments, made it possible for my husband to move Navy children to and from Stations. Bought all the Holiday and celebratory gifts. My job has truly gifted me beyond measure. Do you know the 1 thing it hasn't provided??? TIME This is a hands on small business. It requires, no, DEMANDS MY TIME.
In order for my family to have lived the way we have, it took TIME.Births, deaths, celebrations, school activities, sporting events. Attended almost always by my husband but seldom me. I have been at this labor of love since June 1990. 36 years. I have worked at least 6 days a week for 20 of those. At one point I worked at 3 different locations, groomed for a rescue and groomed for 4 different kennels. I lost my Grandma took 1 day off..should've taken at least a week but there is no bereavement pay when self employed. Had a hysterectomy and took 9 days off..there is no sick leave when self employed. Husband diagnosed with pancreatic cancer same day we buried my mom..bills didn't stop. There's no PTO when self employed. Surgery and chemo and long drives from home to hospital to work to hospital to home and repeat.Hubby slept many days in a chair at the shop after chemo appointments.
So blessed now cancer free..so blessed with family that helps out..so blessed with a job I love. 2027 is bringing blessings of a different kind ..2027 will bring me blessings of TIME. I will no longer be boarding pets. I will be taking more than 1 Saturday off per month. I will be unavailable sporadically throughout this next year. I will NOT make any adjustments to appointments unless it benefits my time..I love my job, it's time for it to love me back.
