Meet Greta and Gizmo! These two sweet kittens were rescued during a TNR initiative in a neighborhood. In an amazing show of community support, during our recent fundraising event, supporters chose their names! Every dollar raised directly funds their care and the care of others in our rescue. Thanks to this generosity, these little ones are receiving complete veterinary preparation for their forever homes. This includes all necessary vaccines, dewormers, microchips, and health testing for FIV and FeLV. Apply to adopt them now at feralfelinefriends.org.

Did you know that FFF has a barn cat program? It’s true - we do! What’s a barn cat? We sometimes run across cats that aren’t interested in the indoor life and would rather spend their days working. These cats use their natural instincts to help control rodent populations and prevent other pests from moving in on your territory. Cats are the safest way to provide pest control without the use of traps or pesticides making your home safer for kids and other pets! And the best part - you’re also helping your community by providing a much needed home to an otherwise homeless cat. Do you have a barn or outdoor area that could use some environmentally safe pest control? If so, send us an email to [email protected] or send us a PM through our socials. We’ll get some info over to you about our program. We provide everything including spayed/neutered, vaccinated cats - you just provide food, water and shelter. Help us put more cats to work!

TJ and Frito are three-month-old brothers, patiently waiting for their forever home - either together or separately!

TJ, a Russian blue, plays well with cats of all ages and doesn't pay much mind to small-to-medium dogs — he's usually too busy with other things to notice them. He's not one to jump into laps on his own, but once his foster mom scoops him up, he melts into being petted and loved on. He loves all toys and random boxes, and it's a good thing his foster mom loves Amazon!

Frito, a tabby and white, is small but mighty. He loves playing with kids, cats, and just about any toy he can find. His foster mom's two dogs act like cats themselves, but Frito doesn't pay them any attention since they don't pounce and play the way he likes. He's a cat of many moods — quiet and lazy one minute, then bursting with energy and diving into his toys the next. He especially loves snuggling under a fuzzy blanket.

Three-year-old Mellow Yellow turned up lost and abandoned behind a Cracker Barrel at an interstate exit — an odd place to start a life, but here we are.

She was scared, alone, and dealing with a painful ear infection when she was found. She's since gotten the treatment she needed, and through the whole ordeal, she's lived up to her name. Nothing rattles her for long.

Right now, Mellow Yellow is on the shy side. She keeps to herself, watches from a safe distance, and takes her time warming up. But spend a little while with her and you'll catch it: a twinkle that says she's ready for more than just watching from the sidelines. She wants a person of her own — someone patient enough to let her come out of her shell at her own pace, and lucky enough to be there when she finally does.

Watson is ten months old, and he's got a theory about carriers: they're all for him. Every time someone walks into Scruffy’s Cafe with a cat carrier, Watson notices. He'll climb inside and wait, or perch right on top like he's supervising, watching the door for whoever it is to come scoop him up and take him home. It's sweet. It's also a little heartbreaking, because so far, it hasn't been him.

When he's not on carrier duty, Watson is easy to find. He's wrestling with his friend Vivian, greeting every human who walks in like they're the one, or parked at the window watching the world go by. He's affectionate, social, and clearly ready for a family of his own — he just needs someone to actually follow through and take that carrier home with him inside it.

Banzai is four months old and runs on one speed: full throttle. He turns every toy into an adventure, treats furniture like an obstacle course, and considers a nap something that happens to other cats. He was recently returned through no fault of his own — his energy is completely normal kitten behavior, but his last home wasn't able to keep pace with it.

When the zoomies finally wind down, Banzai is happy to hang out nearby and keep you company. He's affectionate in his own way — not a lap cat, but always interested in being part of whatever's happening. He'd do best in a home ready for an active, playful kitten: think interactive toys, climbing space, and ideally a playmate who can burn off some of that energy with him.

Butch is three years old and knows exactly how handsome he is. He hears it constantly. He'd like the record to show he's just as good on the inside.

Butch grew up a barn cat in rural Tennessee. Country living built character, but Tennessee winters are no joke, and he has fully retired from the outdoor life. These days a couch is his domain, and he defends it accordingly.

His feelings on humans are equally direct. Recently at Scruffy’s Cafe where he stays while he waits to be adopted, Butch climbed into a stranger's lap and simply stayed there. Not clingy, not needy — just settled in like he'd found exactly where he belonged, and saw no reason to reconsider. The man in question did not get his lap back for a while.

Butch loves cats and dogs alike and has fully embraced indoor life after years without it. He's ready for a home to call his own, ideally one with a lap that comes with the deal.
