🐹💕 Foster Friday: Meet Tootsie & Koko! 💕🐹

These two adorable girls are super soft, friendly, and full of personality! They’ve never met a veggie they didn’t like and love greeting their humans with happy little songs!

💕 Koko, the dark-faced beauty, is the more laid-back of the two. She’s easy to pick up, enjoys attention, and sits nicely in your lap.

🎭 Tootsie has OPINIONS! She’s a bit dramatic about being picked up and isn’t shy about expressing her feelings! She’s also quite the explorer, but happily accepts head pets in her enclosure.

Both girls enjoy hand feeding and prefer cozy hideaways over open beds.

With their sweet personalities and adorable antics, these girls are sure to steal your heart! ❤️

Could Tootsie and Koko be the perfect additions to your family?

🐹💕 FOSTER FRIDAY: Meet Olaf & Sven! 💕

Double the zoomies, double the mischief, and double the cuteness! 🥰

Born on August 19, 2026, Olaf and Sven are two adorable brothers who are full of energy and personality! These little guys love playing follow the leader, racing around doing zoomies, and spending time with their older piggy friends.

They’re still just babies, so they’re learning that being picked up isn’t so scary and that lap time can actually be pretty nice! With patience, gentle handling, and lots of love, they’ll continue to gain confidence. ❤️

🏡 What would make their perfect home?

🐾 Plenty of space! These active boys need a large cage with lots of hides, tunnels, and toys to keep them entertained.

🐾 Piggy companionship! Do you have an older male guinea pig looking for some company? Olaf and Sven would love to meet him! They’d also be happy to bring their friend Rex LeBlanc along to their new home!

🐾 A place in the heart of the home! These boys love being part of the action! They’d thrive in a central location where they can watch the family, hear what’s going on, and be included in everyday life.

🐾 Patient, understanding humans! They’re young, busy, and still learning. Their ideal family will give them the time and gentle attention they need to blossom.

❤️ Please note: Olaf and Sven are not suitable for homes with children under 10, and their primary caregivers must be adults.

These sweet brothers have so much personality packed into their tiny bodies! Now they just need a family willing to embrace their playful antics and help them grow into confident, happy piggies.

Could Olaf and Sven be the perfect addition to your family? 🏡🐹

🐹💙 FOSTER FRIDAY: REBEL 💙🐹

Rebel was just a tiny baby when his life took a very painful turn.

His former owner had gotten him from someone who was giving away guinea pigs. She was told that Rebel had gotten his foot caught in the cage, but that he was “okay.”

The next day, she realized his foot was gone.

She contacted KGPR for help, and one of our volunteers drove an hour to meet her and immediately took little Rebel to UTVMC for care.

It has been a difficult road. His stump was initially raw and painful, and keeping it healthy as it healed has required a lot of care and close monitoring. But Rebel has certainly lived up to his name. 💙

Today, he is mobile, using his stump and doing well! As he continues to grow and puts more weight on that leg, there is still a possibility that he may eventually need surgery. For now, we’re taking things one day at a time and making sure he has everything he needs.

Rebel is not available for adoption. His foster home and KGPR will continue to be there for him as we see what the future holds for his leg.

This is one of the many ways fostering can look. Sometimes it’s providing a safe place for a guinea pig while they wait for a home. And sometimes it’s caring for a tiny baby with an uncertain future and helping him heal, grow, and discover just how strong he can be. ❤️

That’s what fostering does. It gives guinea pigs like Rebel the time, care, and chance they deserve.

Special thanks to Dr. Jones and Dr. Sarah at Lange Animal Hospital for providing such excellent, compassionate care for our special little guy! 💕
