We don’t normally post about human hair, but I think this video can provide some insight into why we can’t simply “brush out” matting on a dog. This is one human head and it took 9 hours to comb out all the matting. Can you imagine how much longer it would take to do on a dog’s entire body? And how uncomfortable your dog would be through the whole process? We don’t judge when we get matted dogs; life happens. But we also won’t be able to continue to service your pet if you don’t allow us to safely, humanely shave your pup to give the coat a fresh start. If you prefer a longer coat, especially on a curly coat breed, brushing between grooms and groom schedules of every 2-6 weeks are not optional!
