This has nothing to do with dogs but is basically a public service announcement for anyone into nails.

A few weeks ago, I tried out semi-cured nail strips for the first time, and I am hooked! I do them at home for about $10 and they last through dog bathing, dish washing, swimming…you name it!

If you ever tried the nail stickers in the past, they were full of bubbles and hard to smooth. These go on smoothly, then you cure them under a UV lamp for them to harden.

I normally have weak brittle nails, but since I’ve used these, they’ve enabled my nails to grow longer than ever before! Each set lasts me easily 2 weeks; I usually only change out because I’m excited to try the next set.

For me, removal is the best feature. When I’ve done salon gels, removal took a long time and did damage to my natural nail (as did application). For these, you just soak in warm water for ten minutes and they come off. I’ve turned that into a warm bath in epsom salts ritual that I look forward to!

I’ve tried a few brands and don’t find one to be especially better than the next, so just google “semi-cured gel nails” and you’ll find something that works. I love them so much, I had to spread the word!
