We’re not giving up on finding Dempsey his perfect home.

Unfortunately, Dempsey has been returned twice this past week. But we truly believe his forever family is still out there.

When you first meet him, Dempsey can be very excited and jumpy and honestly who wouldn’t be after living in a shelter since February? Once he’s given a little time to decompress and adjust, his true personality shines through.

He’s sweet, affectionate, goofy, and loves being with his people. All he needs is someone willing to give him a little patience and grace during the transition.

If you’re interested in adopting Dempsey, call or text 574-946-0265.

136 days.

That’s how long Dempsey has been waiting in a shelter.

The biggest reason? He’s excited. He jumps around, wants attention, and has a lot of energy. But that’s life in a shelter. It’s stressful, noisy, and not a place where dogs can truly relax. The dog you see in a kennel isn’t always the dog you’ll get once they’re home.

Dempsey is a sweet, active boy who loves people, enjoys walks, and gets along great with other dogs. He just needs someone willing to see beyond the kennel and give him the chance he’s been waiting for.

After 136 days, we think he’s waited long enough.

If you think Dempsey could be the missing piece in your family, we’d love for you to come meet him. If you can’t adopt, please consider sharing his post. The more people who see him, the better his chance of finally finding his family. ❤️ His adoption fee is sponsored!

When Duke first came to us, he had been found as a stray. He was very skinny and seemed depressed, but with time, good care, and lots of love, we’ve really seen his personality come out. Since then, we’ve watched him blossom into the happy, goofy dog he was always meant to be.

Duke has a bubbly personality, loves people, and absolutely thrives outdoors. Whether he’s exploring, sniffing every new scent, or soaking up the sunshine, being outside is where he’s happiest. Not every dog dreams of spending all day on the couch, and that’s okay—Duke would love a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy the outdoors.

He gets along well with other dogs but would do best in a home without cats or chickens due to his prey drive.

The best part? Duke’s adoption fee is fully sponsored! All he needs is a loving family and a yard to call his own.

He’s waited long enough. If you’re interested in meeting him, please reach out or stop by the shelter. And if you can’t adopt, please share his story—it might just help him find his perfect home. ❤️
