Me: "Sunni, look at the camera and smile!"

Sunni: "I am looking at the camera. You're welcome."

Me: "Can you look a little happier?"

Sunni: "Did you bring treats?"

Me: "No."

Sunni: "Then this is the face you're getting." 🙄😂

Apparently, I am just the supporting actress in Sunni's modeling career.

And judging by that face, she's already negotiating a better contract. 🐾❤️

🎯 I told Baron we were going on an adventure.
I may have oversold it.

Destination: Target

Mission: Laundry detergent and toothpaste

Baron’s role: Executive Shopping Supervisor 🐾😂

He contributed absolutely nothing to selecting the detergent.

Had no opinion whatsoever about toothpaste.

Did not offer to pay.

And somehow still managed to be the most important member of the shopping party.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Would take him shopping again.

Although next time he would like to discuss the disappointing lack of treats on the shopping list.

I made the mistake of sitting down.

The dachshunds noticed. 😂

Apparently my lap, legs, blanket, couch, and surrounding airspace immediately became available for occupancy.

Current situation:

Stress level: ⬇️

Comfort level: ⬆️

Ability to move: 0%

Personal space: REVOKED

Likelihood that I will disturb them to get up: also 0%

Send snacks.

Actually, don't.

If they hear the bag open, this entire situation changes immediately. 😂🐾

🚨 ATTENTION: THE DACHSHUNDS HAVE NOT BEEN FED.

Well...

Not since the last time they were fed. 😂

Dinner at our house is less of a meal and more of a competitive sporting event.

The bowls go down.

The ears start flying.

Everyone suddenly develops an incredible sense of urgency.

And approximately 47 seconds later...

“Excuse me. Is there more?” 👀😂

According to the dachshunds, portions are inadequate, service is slow, and management should seriously reconsider the all-you-can-eat option.

Complaints have been filed. 🐾

Last night: We can stay up late. We’re not even tired.

This afternoon: ⬆️ 😂😂😂

Penny is fighting for her life trying to keep those eyes open.

Baron has accepted defeat and entered a level of sleep normally reserved for teenagers on Saturday mornings.

Tonight they’ll be completely recharged and ready to cause chaos again.

And somehow WE are the ones who will still be tired. 🤦‍♀️🐾

🎩 BREAKING NEWS: Local dachshunds forced to participate in tiny hat photoshoot.

Ollie is trying to remain professional.

Sunni is already preparing the lawsuit. 😂

Their demands include:

🐾 Immediate removal of the hat
🐾 Compensation paid entirely in treats
🐾 A formal apology from management
🐾 No further wardrobe decisions without dachshund approval

Negotiations are ongoing.

Management has declined to comment. 😂🐾

Penny: That’s adorable. 😂

Apparently all it takes to establish legal ownership is one dachshund, one blanket, and a willingness to stare at anyone who suggests you move.

The furniture belongs to Penny now.
