There are too many homeless animals which results in them entering shelters and ultimately being euthanized. Over 30,000 animals in Central Florida were euthanized last year. SNiP-it will address this need and provide the high volume services that are required to move faster than the fertility cycle. By offering low cost services to the community on a large scale, this will reduce the number of animals born, abandoned, and brought to shelters due to lack of education.

Meet Sara, Our Veterinary Assistant! 💚

We’re so happy to introduce Sara, who joined the SNiP-It family in June! 🐶🐱

Sara grew up in New York City, but some of her favorite childhood memories were spent exploring nature with her cousins through hiking and camping. These experiences helped spark her love for animals and the natural world from a young age. That passion eventually led her to gain hands-on experience with animals and volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary before bringing her love for animal care to SNiP-It! 💚

As a Veterinary Assistant, Sara plays a vital role behind the scenes by preparing our surgical packs and carefully cleaning and sterilizing the instruments used during surgery. While her work may happen behind the scenes, it is absolutely essential to the care we provide. Without Sara’s dedication to preparing and maintaining our surgical instruments, we wouldn’t be able to perform our surgeries. Her attention to detail and the important work she does help ensure our team has the properly prepared instruments needed to care for our patients. 🩺🐾

We’re incredibly grateful to have Sara on our team! We appreciate her dedication, the responsibility she takes on, and the important role she plays in keeping our surgical services running. Some of the most essential work happens behind the scenes, and Sara is a wonderful reminder of just how much that work matters. We’re so thankful to have her as part of the SNiP-It family and look forward to watching her continue to grow! 💚

Meet Juan Felipe, One of Our Veterinary Technicians! 💚

Juan Felipe Matamoros is a Kissimmee native whose journey into veterinary medicine began after years of serving others in human healthcare. In 2018, he joined the United States Navy as a Corpsman, working as a medic for sailors and Marines while serving in Japan and California. After returning home in 2022 and spending five years in human medicine, Juan began a new chapter pursuing his passion for animal care.

His three cats, Eevee, Ruby, and Isis, have been a major inspiration behind his decision to enter veterinary medicine. 🐱❤️ Transitioning from human healthcare to caring for animals has been a humbling experience, and Juan is grateful to his fellow veterinary technicians at SNiP-It for helping him grow and learn in this new field.

We’re so happy to have Juan as part of the SNiP-It family! We appreciate the experience he brings, his willingness to learn, and his dedication to growing as a Veterinary Technician. We’re proud to be part of his journey and look forward to seeing all he accomplishes! 🐾💚

Meet Joshua, One of Our Veterinary Technicians! 💚

We’re excited to introduce Joshua, affectionately known as Josh, and share a little more about the person behind the scrubs here at SNiP-It! 🐶🐱

Originally from Peru, Josh has spent the past two years working with animals and growing his passion for veterinary medicine. He believes that animals depend on us to provide the care and support they need, and that belief is at the heart of the work he does every day.

As a Veterinary Technician, Josh understands that caring for animals means more than treating their medical needs. It also means supporting the families who love them, taking the time to answer questions, and helping pet owners feel informed and confident about their pets’ care. His commitment to learning, providing compassionate care, and making a positive difference reflects the importance of the role he plays in our team. 💚

We’re grateful to have Josh as part of the SNiP-It family! We appreciate the compassion he brings to his work, his dedication to continuing to learn, and his commitment to helping both pets and their families. Today, we’re celebrating Brittany, our incredible Lead Veterinary Technician! 🩺🐶🐱

Brittany began her journey in veterinary medicine in 2016, discovering a passion for the medical side of animal care that has continued to grow throughout her career. Since joining the SNiP-It family in August 2023, she has continued to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the animals and families we serve. ❤️

Being a leader is about so much more than a title. It’s about being someone others can turn to, sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and helping those around you become the best they can be. Brittany brings that leadership to our team while helping create an environment where learning, teamwork, and compassionate patient care matter every day.
