Wellness month usually means β€œbook your annual exam,” and you should. But an exam and a set of X-rays are screening tools β€” built to find the question, not always to answer it. πŸ‚

Your vet feels something that shouldn’t be there. A limp doesn’t match the radiographs. A cough has gone on for two months. That’s the point where a lot of families get stuck, because they don’t know the next step exists or assume it means a referral hospital across the county.

It doesn’t. We bring the scanner to your vet’s clinic.

Rabies remains one of the few diseases that is almost always fatal once symptoms appear, in animals and people alike. It's still present in Florida wildlife β€” bats, raccoons, foxes β€” which is why vaccination is required by law for pets in this state. Check your records this week and confirm your pet's vaccine is current. πŸ’‰

Your family veterinarian handles that part, and should. But if your pet does tangle with wildlife, call them right away even when the wound looks minor β€” because puncture wounds are deceptive. Skin seals over quickly while bacteria and debris stay sealed underneath, and a bite that looked like nothing can become a deep abscess days later, well below anything an exam or X-ray reveals.

That's the point where advanced imaging earns its place: CT maps the full extent of deep infection and any material left behind, so your veterinarian treats the whole wound instead of the visible part.

A vaccine your pet will never notice. A risk they'll never face. 🀍

Detailed Reports, Delivered the Next Day

Thorough imaging, reviewed by specialists β€” usually back within 24 hours.

A scan is only as valuable as the report that follows it. At Mobile Pet Imaging, every image is carefully reviewed by our board-certified team, who then prepare a complete, detailed report for your veterinarian β€” most often within 24 hours. That reliable turnaround means your vet can move quickly from diagnosis to treatment, without the long waits that come with crowded referral centers. We're thorough because the details matter, and we're fast because we know your family is waiting. 🩺

Careful imaging and quick reporting β€” because both matter for your pet.

A Small Needle Can Bring Enormous Peace of Mind

Minimally invasive answers for the lumps and bumps that keep you up at night.

You were petting your dog β€” maybe rubbing their belly or scratching behind their ear β€” and suddenly your fingers found something that wasn't there before. A lump. A bump. A small, firm spot beneath the skin. Your heart sank. Is it serious? Is it growing? Is it something that needs to come out right away? For every pet parent who has felt that rush of worry, the waiting and not knowing is often the hardest part.

At Mobile Pet Imaging, fine needle aspirates offer a fast, gentle way to start getting answers. This minimally invasive procedure uses a very small needle to collect a sample of cells from a lump or organ β€” without the need for surgery or a large incision. The process is quick, often completed in just minutes, and most pets tolerate it remarkably well with minimal discomfort. Once collected, the cells are evaluated to help determine whether a mass is benign, inflammatory, or something that requires more urgent attention. Our board-certified team performs these aspirates with precision and care, helping your veterinarian build a clearer diagnostic picture while keeping your pet as comfortable as possible. 🐢

Knowing what's beneath the surface is the first step toward protecting the ones who depend on you most.

No one knows your pet like you do. You notice the appetite that's dipped, the energy that's faded, the limp that lingers, or the symptom that just won't resolve with the usual approach. When standard tests don't fully explain what you're seeing, that's often the moment to go deeper. Advanced imaging gives your veterinarian the detailed view they need to turn a nagging worry into a clear answer. At Mobile Pet Imaging, we're here for exactly these moments β€” right at your vet's clinic, with care and precision. 🩺

Trusting your gut is step one. A closer look is often step two.

Florida's rainy season brings a fast flush of lawn mushrooms, including the most commonly eaten poisonous mushroom in the country: the false parasol, Chlorophyllum molybdites, which grows in rings across ordinary turf. Large white cap, tan scaly patches, greenish gills underneath as it matures. πŸ„

Walk your yard before letting your dog out. Pull what you find. If your pet eats a mushroom, photograph or bag a sample and head straight to your veterinarian or the nearest emergency hospital β€” signs can be delayed by hours.

Mushrooms aren't the only thing that disappears into a dog during wet season. Sticks, rocks, mulch, toys, fabric, bone fragments. When something has been swallowed and nobody knows what β€” or when it isn't moving through β€” CT locates it in three dimensions, including material that never shows up on a radiograph. Your veterinarian gets a full report the next day.

If you can't identify it, don't risk it. 🐾

Hundreds of search and rescue dogs deployed to Ground Zero, the Pentagon, and Shanksville β€” working through smoke, heat, and debris in twelve-hour shifts. Handlers later described something no one expected: the dogs also became comfort for exhausted responders who had nothing left.

Beginning that October, 150 of these dogs were enrolled in a health study that followed them for fifteen years. Among the findings: the musculoskeletal system took the heaviest toll of any part of the body. The work these dogs do is written into their joints, their spines, their frames β€” which is why imaging them well matters long after the deployment ends.

Not one of them understood the history they were part of. They just knew their person needed them to keep going, so they did.

Some heroes never knew they were heroes. We remember them anyway. 🀍

It's one of the most common worries we hear: β€œIsn't my pet too old for this?” The reassuring fact is that age by itself is not a disease, and many senior pets safely undergo imaging every day. What matters most is health status, not the number of birthdays. That's why every patient receives a careful pre-anesthetic evaluation, and our protocols are designed by a board-certified anesthesiologist with constant monitoring throughout. Because our scans are so fast, time under sedation is kept to a minimum. At Mobile Pet Imaging, your senior pet is in expert hands. 🩺

Don't let a number stand between your pet and the answers they deserve.
