Peaceful Pets Peaceful Pets serves pets with the same level of service that a human receives when they pass away.

Many families have placed their trust in the Schepp Family over the years, and so we are dedicated to serving their entire family--and we realize companion pets are important family members too. Pets are unconditionally loyal companions that profoundly touch our lives. Because pets bring us immeasurable happiness, love and joy, it can be devastating to lose such an adored friend. The funeral professionals of Schepp Family Funeral Homes understand the overwhelming sorrow that results from the death of a loved one, especially a four-legged companion. That's why we offer families individual pet cremations and customized memorial services to help you say goodbye to your pet in a loving and dignified manner.

On World Mental Health Day, we recognize that emotional well-being matters just as much as physical health. Grief, loss, and life's hardest moments can weigh heavily on the mind, and reaching out for support is always a sign of strength. Today, we encourage compassion for ourselves and one another.

Nils Olav III currently resides in the Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland. He is the mascot and Commander of the Norwegian Royal Guard. A penguin has held this position since 1972. When the Royal Guard visited Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the lieutenant became interested in the zoo’s penguin colony. When the guards returned to Edinburgh, the lieutenant made arrangements to adopt a penguin. The penguin was named Nils Olav after Nils Egelien and King Olav V of Norway.
