Duckling came in as a scared, very skinny little guy, but he is blossoming into a playful and loving man and is steadily gaining weight!! Being in a shelter is obviously not ideal for any dog, but we are so thankful that we get to be the start of a better life for them!

Sampson and Delilah update. We have started playing and it is the cutest play you will ever see!! Unfortunately, Delilah has the start of an upper respiratory infection, and has been started on medication. We are hoping that the medication works swiftly, but so far we are still eating like a piglet. Sampson is still a very petite guy, weighing just shy of one pound and Delilah is a whopping 3.5 pounds.

This is Hanibell and her and her six brothers and sisters were surrendered by their owner as an accidental litter. Every single on these pups is beyond happy to have extra space! Each one of them are elated to run and romp and the reality is, they don’t even realize that, hopefully soon, they will have even more space and comfort if they are adopted! She is 5 months old and weighs about 35 lbs. Please understand that these pups have never known a home and will require some patience and training. It will be so worth it though!

The shelter is genuinely terrifying place for sensitive to timid dogs. Esther is no exception. She is incredibly sweet, but this is an overwhelming environment for her. Esther is about five months old and came in as a stray yesterday. If you know this Puppy or who owns her, please contact Lenoir County Animal Services NC. She will be available for Adoption or rescue on 10/20/26 after her 72 stray hold is completed.
