🌊☀️ Did I get your attention? 😂

Just a little reminder from the beach — we are on vacation through August 19th! There are NO lessons this week. ❤️

When we get back, we have a couple weeks of flexible scheduling while kids are starting school left and right!

September 2 & 3
These dates will have Littles, semi-private lessons and group Horsemanship Classes.

Fit them in where you can while everyone gets settled into their new school schedules! Please message me to get scheduled or into a Horsemanship Class. If you havent let me know ur availability for fall do so asap

🍂 And then we're back to our regular routine — our 12-week Fall Session starts September 8th!

For now... I'm going back to the beach. 😂☀️🌊

What a night. 🤍

We had a great Fall Registration Night, and afterward some of my longtime barn girls — girls who have been riding for years, lease or own horses, assist with lessons and have put in a whole lot of hours helping me this summer — stayed for a little celebration of their own.

Tonight they're attempting a hammock night at the barn. 😂 We'll see if that actually sticks.

One of my goals here has always been to create a safe space for tween and teen girls to grow up. A place to be themselves, make friends, get out of their heads, learn to care for something before themselves and maybe even get off their phones for a while.

Although it's 11:15pm and the phones are definitely out...

They're being used as flashlights for an old-school game of hide and seek up on the hill.

Someone may look at nights like this and think how lucky these girls are to have a place like this.

But I think I'm the lucky one.

I get to provide the space.

I get to hear their laughter across the farm at 11:15 at night. I get to watch friendships form, confidence grow and personalities come alive. I get to enjoy their spark while they're in this little window between being kids and becoming young women.

They bring just as much life to this place as I could ever give to them.

And tonight, listening to them laugh in the dark while the horses are tucked in and the hammocks are hanging...

I am proud and greatful that HE 🙌 called me to steward this. ❣️1 Peter 4:10: "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."

So many fun things happening at the barn this week!

Boys Camp was a success (even though we forgot to take pictures 🤦‍♀️), and today was our Rodeo Camp... and WOW, it was nonstop!

We covered every youth rodeo event and had riders with such a wide range of experience. That's one of my favorite parts—everyone leaves with something different. Some gained confidence, some learned a brand new skill, and some found exactly what they need to practice before the next rodeo.

Our winter season is in 3 short months!!

These last few weeks definitely didn't go as planned.

Horses changed. Plans changed. Some things worked out exactly as hoped, and some didn't. There were excited kids, disappointed kids, hard conversations, and a whole lot of trying to do what's best for everyone involved—the students, the horses, the parents, and the trainers.

But somewhere in the middle of all of it...
On a beautiful summer day, just before everyone heads back to school, on a break from a busy Thursday morning a few incredible kids showed up without hesitation, and we ride.
We ride the ones we hope will make it, we ride the ones we thought would turn out... when you have horse girls they will ride just about anything to have something that they can call their own, even if its for an hour. Somedays I run out of horses!!

That's what I am here to do.
To give them something, the chances they wouldn't otherwise have and I am greatful ...at the end of each long day, greatful to be able to provide this to so many.

August ......welcome!

If you've been looking for a hands-on homeschool enrichment opportunity, we'd love to meet you!

Our Homeschool Horsemanship Program combines horse care, riding, confidence-building, responsibility, and real-life learning in a fun, supportive environment. It can be totally tailored to your group's goals, more groundwork, more riding.. If you are not part of a group, we can help find you one!

🐴 Curious if it's the right fit for your family?

Join us at our Family Fun Night & Fall Registration on Friday, August 7! Meet the horses, tour the barn, chat with our instructors, ask questions, and learn more about our homeschool and lesson programs before our fall session begins.

Bring the whole family—we can't wait to meet you!

12 seconds. 🔥
That's all it took for Claire to win yesterday's goat run!

She has become the GOAT of our barn in this event especially, and we're so proud of the hard work and dedication she's put into this sport.

This event (and a variation of it) will be part of our upcoming Rodeo Clinic, open to all ages and experience levels. It's all about learning the progression and building confidence. 3 spots left

Also, watch for Fall Goat Tying Clinics at Riding on Grace, where Claire will be sharing what she's learned and accomplished with others.

This is what we mean by horsemanship. ❤️

This week, our students had the opportunity to learn from the professionals who help keep our lesson horses healthy and performing their best.

A huge thank you to Dr. Beth Ady Gustavus Veterinary Services and our farrier for taking the time to teach our Riding on Grace students about routine veterinary care, hoof care, and the importance of preventative maintenance in keeping our horses sound, healthy, and happy.

Because horsemanship is so much more than riding. It's understanding, respecting, and caring for the horse from the ground up. Those lessons create better horsemen, better partners, and better people. 🐴💚
