Ulster County SPCA The Ulster County SPCA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to animal adoptions, humane law enforcement, spay/neuter, and humane education.

The UCSPCA is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent cruelty to animals by providing temporary shelter, medical treatment, and adoption opportunities for the abused, neglected and homeless animals in Ulster County. We are a no-kill shelter, working tirelessly to find adoptive homes for our animals. We do not receive any municipal funding, nor any from the ASPCA. We rely solely on donations from the community. Thank you for helping us achieve our mission to prevent animal abuse and neglect.

FOUND CAT
This short-haired, black and white female cat was found on Wiltwyck Ave in Kingston. No ID, no collar, no microchip. Safe with the Ulster County SPCA. Please call the shelter at 845-331-5377 with any information. This has been cross posted on Lost Pets of The Hudson Valley.

Practice Compassion: Rude or judgmental comments about the potential owner will be deleted. All found animals will be made available for adoption after required hold periods have expired. This is likely someone's pet, and our priority is to reunite them with their owner.

Thank you to our Pet Patrol sponsor, Naccarato Insurance in supporting the mission of our Humane Law Department. We are the only humane law agency in Ulster County, and provide full dog control services for City of Kingston and Towns of Hurley and Rosendale, while also providing dog control boarding and adoptions for Towns of Esopus, Marbletown and Wawarsing. Thank you to Naccarato Insurance for helping us reunite found pets with their families!

🐾HAPPY TAILS & HEARTFUL THANK YOUS! 🐾

Every week, love finds a way—and this week was no exception! ❤️

We want to send a huge, heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to all of our incredible adopters this week on finding your ! 🎉

Because of you, lives have been truly transformed. Some of this week’s adopted pets came to us from difficult humane law enforcement cases, having known only neglect until now. Others lost the only homes they ever knew when their beloved owners passed away with no one left to care for them. And so many sweet kittens who started their lives vulnerable on the streets are now curled up safely in warm, loving arms.

✨ To our adopters: Thank you for opening your hearts and homes. You didn’t just adopt a pet—you saved a life. ✨

🚨 BUT...OUR SHELTER IS STILL FULL - AND WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🚨

While we are celebrating every single homebound tail wag and purr, the County SPCA remains severely over capacity—especially with our large dogs.

Our kennels are filled with incredible, loving, large pups who are patiently waiting for their turn at a fresh start. They have so much loyalty and love to give, but they need you to help them turn the page to their next chapter.

🐶 How you can help:

🏠Adopt: Go to www.ucspca.org and find your new !
🛏Foster: Give an animal a much-needed break from the kennel while they await adoption.
👉Share: Even if you can’t right now, sharing this post reaches the one person who can!

🎂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MADDIE! 🐾🎈

Huge thanks to Maddie, who decided to celebrate her by giving back! Instead of birthday gifts for herself, she collected cash donations for the animals at the Ulster County SPCA. 🐶🐱

Today, Maddie stopped by to drop off her birthday donations and meet some of the lives she’s helping change, like adoptable kitten, Country. It takes a big heart to put animals first, especially on your own special day! Maddie, your generosity and love for shelter pets inspire all of us. Thank you for making a real difference for the animals in our care! ❤️

Show Maddie some birthday in the comments! 👇🎉
