Hi everyone! We are up and running today - and good news for folks who work a little later: we can serve a little later today (til 6:30/6:45) so if you are in the area and the sign is out come on in (the drum group isn’t meeting this evening.)
Today we are serving delicious Brown Rice Bowls with Roasted Butternut Squash, Pinto Beans, and a cilantro lime crema. No major allergens! Hope to see you!

Free/Gratis vegan food for all. Why not?!? What can we make a reality for all if we band together? Politicians work for us not the other way around.

See our previous post and posts by Angry Asian Womxn to bring donated items for families impacted by ICE at Delaney Hall. They want us all at home always glued to screens or working ourselves to exhaustion but when we get out to connect things can happen and grow.

This Wednesday October 7th, 2026 - We stand as always in solidarity with the Palestinian people. THREE YEARS. Countless lives lost. Cities flattened. Entire family bloodlines erased as too many stood silent.

Dear friends - just an advance heads-up: the Happy Cart program and team will need to skip the week AFTER this one - 9/30/26. We are doing our regular food service tomorrow, so we hope to see you! And then after the one week pause on 9/30 we will be back to our regular weekly offering starting Wednesday 10-7-26.

Thanks, always, for your participation, energy and all you do to lift each other up, share strength, and keep building.

This week’s Happy Cart Community Food Distribution on Wednesday 9-16-26 is sponsored by the very special friend to all beings, Miriam Kaneko! Miriam is also a dedicated Happy Cart volunteer and IFAH caregiver, and is the amazing founder of NY Farm Animal Save . Her dedication to community and supporting Justice, empathy and compassion for all beings are such an inspiration to us. Thank you, Miriam - for helping the Happy Cart highlight and support these ideals by serving up healthy vegan food, education and mutual aid offerings each week here in Kingston.

When possible, we also sometimes bring boxed meal leftovers to the local Community Fridges. We are working on a system to communicate this so folks know.)

Opening for you the community soon at 4:30… minutes away: the pasta veggie salad is going to nourish you heart, mind and spirit… and thanks to community donations Happy Cart is starting off the supply-collection being organized here by Angry Asian Womxn with a donation of care supplies for infants, and non-perishables like Pasta, canned sauces and beans! Let’s show the families impacted by ICE the power of community joining together. The “Four Elements of Mutual Aid” film is queued up to show at 5 pm; community discussion at 6 pm (indoors if it’s rainy). Come join together here Old Dutch Church Kingston,NY !
