It's been a while since I've posted. Everything is doing fine. Getting ready for winter whenever that decides to get here. Lots of rain so there's lots of mud. Lots of grumpy animals that have to stay in barns cuz they don't like to get wet. But other than that they're doing great.

On July 18 Northern Acres welcomed a beautiful Nigerian Dwarf doe. She was one of triplets, but the other two were still born. She has lots of energy. If we take two vegetable cans and stack them on top of each other that's how tall she is

Couldn't help it. Spent my first hours this morning grooming. Still losing some coats on the new guys. But just an awesome morning. Watch the sunrise as I groomed our two new ones that came last night. Going to give them love and attention as we go. Got fly spray on them as a sun came up in the flies came out. Got them fed. And now I start my day

Sorry for not posting sooner but we have been very busy. We are lacking eggs at the moment due to a crow that likes to steal it out of our hen house. There's no access except for where the chickens go in and he helps himself. Yesterday he broke a half a dozen and took whatever else there was and today was a same thing when we got home from work. We have a loaded gun ready to go as soon as we see his little face again. Critters are doing great We have layers available for sale they are now 10 weeks old and ready to go. Many different varieties. Both baby goats a buck and a doe are available both blue eyes. We also have a set of Suffolk/Jacobs lambs ready in about 2 weeks that is a set of a ram and a ewe looking forward to the summer. I'm having knee surgery so I will be able to move better and do more around here. Just getting excited. We have some litters of new meat rabbits coming and about 30 days. And we have a couple more baby goats that will be on the ground here shortly. And we are getting ready to breed our four alpaca mamas. These will be for next year birthing.

We can never have enough baby pictures out there. Mama and the two Jacobs / Suffolk babies and our new layer crew

So as I posted last night we had a ewe in labor before we went to bed. Me being who I am, had Alex run out and check to make sure everything was going all right. He came back in to tell me the baby was stuck one foot in one foot and back the head out. If we would have left him like that he would have died. So we pulled him. He's a big boy looks wonderful. So me being me got into bed snuggly warm and thought maybe we should double check. Alex went out there to let me know there was another little baby this one a little girl. So we welcomed a ram and a ewe to Northern acres farms!
