Why do we use raised feeders? 🐾
It may look like a small detail, but there’s intention behind so much of what we do with our puppies.
As our babies grow, we use raised trough feeders to encourage them to stand square, reach forward naturally, and engage their body while they eat instead of constantly crouching or sprawling over a bowl on the floor. For growing puppies, those little everyday opportunities to practice balance, coordination, and controlled standing add up.
Raised feeders can also help us:
🐾 Encourage a comfortable, upright eating position
🐾 Keep puppies from climbing, laying, and walking through their food 😂
🐾 Promote steadier footing and body awareness during meals
🐾 Keep the feeding area cleaner and easier to manage with an entire litter
🐾 Give everyone room along the trough instead of piling into one bowl
🐾 Make it easier for us to watch each puppy eat and notice if someone isn’t keeping up
Does a raised feeder magically create perfect structure? Of course not. Genetics, nutrition, appropriate exercise, flooring, body condition, and overall development all play much bigger roles. But we believe the little things matter, too.
We’re constantly looking for simple ways to encourage our puppies to use their bodies correctly, build confidence on their feet, and grow into strong, functional dogs.
So when you see a side shot of X stretched up to the puppy trough, just know… even mealtime has a purpose around here. 😂💪
Raise them with intention. Watch them thrive. 🖤
