Hi Everyone! We will be having a clean up day at the club this Saturday 08/22 starting at 8am. Lots of mowing and weedeating that needs to be done. Bush hogging in many areas. Limbs to pick up and some to trim back. Other things that need attention.
We hope you can come out and help!

Don’t forget about our monthly Broken Spur Saddle Club meeting tonight. Meeting starts at 7:00pm.
It’s election time once again also. So come prepared to nominate or even serve in one of our many elected or volunteer positions.

Broken Spur Saddle Club would like to congratulate one of our youngest riders for her “fastest time ever” competing at the Spring Showdown today in Perry, Ga! For those who don’t know this special cowgirl, she has been on top of a horse since the day her umbilical cord was cut! She is one special cowgirl!!!! We are all so proud of Eliza and Ruby!!!! Way to go sweet cowgirl!!! 🤠🥰

Horse shows don’t magically happen… although after watching this crew work, I’m starting to think they might. It takes planning, patience, teamwork… and apparently a lot of people willing to work for free and smell like horse doo-doo all weekend. Thank you to our amazing saddle club members who gave up sleep, sanity, and probably clean boots to make this past weekend’s show happen. We couldn’t do it without each and every one of you! We love our Broken Spur Saddle Club Family!

Happy Birthday to the most ancient horseman around, Joey Peeples!!!! Rumor has it his first saddle was made of stone and his first horse was named “Dinosaur.” 🦖🐎…You may be old, but at least you’re aging like fine leather tack — slightly cracked, but still usable….They say age is just a number, but in your case, it’s a very old one…..You’ve been riding horses since they were still considered new technology.
