Not only does Lily like to cuddle, but she is softer than a lamb's t***y! Lily loves to take walks and knows Sit, Down, Off, Heel, and Stay. Definitely smarter than your average bear! She wants to be with her family, not just left in the yard with no one to talk to. If she's bored, she digs....otherwise, this girl is super well-behaved and very laid back. She's 8 years old but don't call her a Senior....she's a retired puppy! Beautiful too!! Lily is available for adoption at KCHS....adorable kid is optional.

A Day In The Life....

We are asking for help! We just took in these 6 kittens. The good Samaritan who brought them in is currently trying to trap mama, but in the meantime, we have 6 very hungry babies. Does anyone have a currently nursing mama cat who could take 2 or more kittens? Or anyone willing to foster? Theses babies will need to be fed every 3 to 4 hours around the clock. If you want to help these little ones out, but can't foster, we are needing kitten formula, KMR powder, and miracle ni***es and bottles. Hopefully mama will be trapped soon and this will be temporary situation!

We need your help! All six of these beautiful dogs have been at our shelter for more than one year. Waverly has been with us since April 23, 2024...That's too long! Our shelter is at max capacity and we have more dogs on our wait list. Everyone of these dogs deserves to be in a good home....some might not get along with cats or maybe will do best as an only dog but they are all friendly, adoptable dogs that need a chance to shine. You can find more pictures, videos and information about all 23 of our adoptable dogs on our website www.kingmancountyhumanesociety.org. If you can't adopt, maybe you can foster. If you can't foster, maybe you can share this post with your social media contacts, friends and family. Or talk to any of our Board or staff about our new Doggy Day Out program and give these pups a few hours away from the shelter. If not YOU, then WHO?

Once in a while, you come across a dog that just doesn’t deserve to spend another day behind bars.
Bella Luna is the latest.

Bella is a beautiful six-year-old lab cross whose only crime is her owner can no longer care for her.
She’s confused, she’s lost, she’s heartbroken.
She just needs somebody to love on her!

I took her for a long walk this morning. She immediately pooped and pottied the minute we went outside, so she’s definitely housebroken.
Bella’s just a sweet girl.
A little gray around the muzzle but a lot of life left in her.
She’s also smart as a whip!
She can sit and she loves to shake hands.
