Someone asked me today, โ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐ถ๐?โ
And funny enough, I donโt think โ๐๐ผ๐โ is really the question.
The better question isโฆ
โ๐ช๐ต๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐ถ๐?โ
Because the โhowโ isnโt always pretty. ๐
The how is early mornings and late nights. Itโs feeding, watering, cleaning, teaching lessons, scheduling vets and farriers, ordering hay, dragging arenas, fixing whatever broke that day and taking the damn trash out.
The how is putting everyone elseโs horses, needs, schedules and dreams ahead of your own sometimes.
The how is finally getting to my own horses after 8pm, when the clients are gone, lessons are finished and the ranch is quiet. When Iโm exhausted and theyโre getting whatever I have left in the tank.
๐๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐?
The why is easy.
The why is watching a kid who once said โI canโtโ eventually say โ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฐ๐ต ๐บ๐ฒ.โ
Itโs watching them learn that Iโm not tough on them because I expect perfection. Iโm tough on them because I know what theyโre capable of and because someday I wonโt be standing in the middle of the arena telling them to try again.
Itโs the quiet rides at 9pm when the whole ranch has finally gone still.
Itโs looking around at something that was once just an idea in my head and realizing ๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ Cowโฆ ๐๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐๐ถ๐น๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐.
Owning a business can be lonely. Leadership carries a weight that I donโt think people fully understand until theyโve carried it themselves. Because no matter how bad my day is, the horses still deserve a good one. My clients still deserve me to show up. The kids still deserve someone invested in them.

There are days Iโm tired. Days Iโm pi**ed off. Days Iโm sad. Days I question myself. And plenty of days when my own horses, my own goals and me come dead last.
But there has never been a day where Iโve forgotten ๐๐ต๐.
Iโm not building a business just to say I own one.
Iโm building horses. Iโm building riders. Iโm building confident little humans who know how to work, how to lose, how to win, how to take correction, how to get back on and how to keep going when something gets hard.
And somewhere in between all of that, Iโm still building myself too.
So when someone asks me โ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐ถ๐?โ
Some days? I genuinely have no idea. ๐
