We are Open & Here for Your Pets! 🐾

We’re happy to share that we are open in our new clinic Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (with the exception of major holidays). We are located at 6 Barred Hill Road and utilizing the same driveway & parking lot as the previous clinic at 1082 Main Street in Kingfield. Just drive in and park as usual, we are in the building on the far side of the parking lot.

While we are in the process of transforming our new building into a full-service veterinary clinic, we can still provide a variety of important veterinary care, including:

🐶 Wellness Exams
💉 Vaccinations
🩺 Minor Sick Visits
🔬 Diagnostics & Bloodwork
💊 Flea, Tick, & Heartworm Preventatives
💤 Sedated Procedures (Quill removal, Grooming)
🦴 Chiropractic Appointments
🩺 Minor Surgical Procedures

Our team is dedicated to giving your pets the compassionate and high-quality care they deserve. If you’re wondering if we can help your pet, please don’t hesitate to call—we’re here to assist!

🐾 We’re Open! 🐾

We are thrilled to share that we are officially seeing patients again in our temporary clinic space! We are located on the same property as our previous building at 1082 Main St. / 6 Barred Hill Rd. While we’re incredibly grateful to be back, we’re still operating with limited resources as we continue to rebuild.

A few important reminders:

• We do not have a waiting room at this time. Please check in when you arrive, then return to your vehicle to wait until a staff member comes out to es**rt you to an exam room.

• We appreciate your continued patience as we work through medication refill requests, phone calls, and scheduling. We are doing our very best to respond as quickly as possible.

• At this time, we are still unable to accept new clients while we focus on caring for our existing patients and rebuilding our clinic. We will share an update as soon as we are able to welcome new clients.

• For prescription refills, we continue to encourage current clients to use our online pharmacy at vetcaremaine.covetruspharmacy.com or Chewy. These remain the fastest ways to receive your pet’s medications.

• If you need to reach us, please text us at (844) 384-5470 whenever possible, as it helps us respond more efficiently while our call volume remains high.

Thank you for your patience, kindness, and unwavering support throughout this journey. We are so grateful to be back caring for your pets and look forward to seeing you—one step at a time. ❤️🐾

🐾 Clinic Update 🐾

We want to sincerely thank our clients for their incredible patience, understanding, and support as we work to rebuild and reopen following the fire.

Right now, our two biggest priorities are contacting clients who already had appointments scheduled before the fire and working through our backlog of voicemails. We know many of you have been waiting to hear from us, and we are returning calls as quickly as we can.

As we make progress, we hope to begin offering a limited number of appointment openings to reschedule patients whose appointments were affected by the fire, as well as for simple acute concerns, such as ear infections and other minor illnesses. Our goal is to reopen in a scaled-down capacity around Monday, July 27, provided no unforeseen obstacles arise.

If your pet needs more immediate care, we encourage you to contact a local urgent care clinic. Animal Medical Clinic, Inc. of Skowhegan and Falls Road Veterinary Clinic in Farmington may also be able to assist.

We continue to encourage clients to contact us by text message, if possible, at (844) 384-5470. For medication refills, please use our online pharmacy at https://vetcaremaine.covetruspharmacy.com or Chewy. com. Please check our FaceBook page for updates.

We truly appreciate your patience as we navigate this challenging process. Your kindness, encouragement, and support have meant more to our team than words can express, and we look forward to caring for your pets again soon! ❤️🐾

📢 Update 7/9/26: Due to the complete loss of our building and inventory, we are currently unable to dispense medications directly to our clients.

If your pet is an established patient and needs a medication refill, please use our online pharmacy at
https://vetcaremaine.covetruspharmacy.com
or visit Chewy.com. We still have access to these platforms and can remotely approve prescriptions for shipment directly to you.

We thank everyone again for their generous support, understanding, and patience during this trying time as we work to rebuild and reopen.

Yesterday, July 7th 2026, the entire Carrabassett Veterinary Services building — including staff apartments upstairs — was lost due to fire.

We wanted to let everyone know as soon as possible, as we've had a few clients arrive for scheduled appointments. We hope this update can save others the trip.

Our team will be contacting clients throughout the day to cancel and reschedule appointments as we learn more and determine our next steps. We will continue to share updates as they become available.

Please consider supporting our longest-standing employee, Jennifer (and her son Stig), who lost both of their cats and everything they own in the fire. They will be starting over and appreciate any help. The “Support Now” link is below. Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and support during this incredibly difficult time.

Hello, family and friends!Jennifer and Stig have faced a tough time recently. They lost everything in a devastating fire, including their beloved cats. Now, they are striving to rebuild from scratch. Every little bit helps as they need essential items like bedding, cleaning supplies, clothes,
