Hey, hey! Greetings from your long lost friends, Hackberry Barn Goldens.
This post is intended only for the owners of the one and only litter Raya and Cooper had in January 2019. One of the owners reached out asking how to get another copy of their dog’s paperwork as they plan to breed as well. We were so happy to hear this and of course, happy to help. Carmen informed me as well that it doesn’t sound like many kept or possibly misplaced the paperwork we did send long ago. Some are wondering if they received it since it’s been so long to remember those details. Ha! For the record, we are so sorry if for some reason you didn’t get it. I am certain that I mailed these as I remember taking a picture of the envelopes plus I remember literally going to the post office so this is so odd and a huge mystery being that it was two years ago. That being said, I have good news. I have been speaking with the important people at AKC (and let me tell you, based on the hold time of that company to tak to someone, there must be A LOT of dogs needing help with getting AKC registered! Lol). I have requested, with a small fee, to receive duplicate documents for 10 of the 11 puppies. Per their rules, I could not get 11… I could only get enough for all but one. Why? I haven’t a clue and just listened to the lady who knows far more than I can imagine. 😂 These documents will get to us within 2-3 weeks. Once I get them, I am going to assign the NEW registration numbers for 10 of the pups so any old registration numbers won’t work as it would be considered a duplicate. The litter was “registered” under our AKC information, so that was obviously completed back in 2019. IMPORTANT: If you are a family who purchased a pup and would like the new documents sent to you, please PM me with your name, mailing address, phone and email address as well as which puppy you purchased (collar color would be great if you remember) I will then send the proper documents to those who request. If I don’t receive a request, I won’t mail them out as I don’t have details to do so. If at all possible, please be sure to request right away. I just think it would be best to take care of all of this the second time around in one full swoop as we won’t be doing this a third time around. I’m not even certain a third request would be an option through AKC to be honest, so now is your chance. Any questions, please let us know. We are happy to help as always!
On a side note, both Raya and Cooper are doing well. They are both 5 years old. They still love their daily walks and literally “talk” to us with excitement when they hear their leashes come out. When Jim and I even put on our workout clothes, they just know and are waiting outside our bedroom door to go on that walk! Raya is still a bit plump, but she’s happy and still active! I’m pretty sure she loves every human more today than she did yesterday and tomorrow she will love us all more than she did today. She’s the smartest dog I’ve ever known and loves so hard she doesn’t know what to do with all of her love. She’s a momma’s girl and makes sure all rabbits, squirrels, other dogs and cats stay out of her backyard. Cooper… good ol’ Cooper… is his casual self. He’s as chill as ever. He loves to grab his blanket to greet us in the morning or when we come home. He’s just a tish OCD and has to do certain things the same exact way every single time. For example, he has to go outside from the same side of the door every single time. The left side which is the way the door opens just doesn’t work for him so he takes the long way around from the right side and he always has to be the last one out the door allowing the other two dogs to go out before him. He has a mind of his own and I’m certain he’s smarter than he likes to play off 99% of the time. They are still the best of buds and go crazy if they are away from one another.
Anyway, sorry for the long post, but wanted to be sure to get this information out to all pho owners especially! We’d love to see updated pics and hear stories of the pups! The kids ask about them often!
