Ruby said "I love you" today!! I was so happy! He flew around for a few seconds. Then landed on my head. He didnt want to get down. Lol
He also loves to give kisses. 💋😘

Lemon's Journey
Lemon is a bright yellow parakeet that was missing LOTS of his feathers when we first got him in April.
He was stressed and had plucked himself from chest to tail all the way around. He had started on his wings as well.
Soooo happy to say that he has several little feathers popping out on his belly.. He has more growing on his back but he wont let me get a picture.
We are hoping he will be able to grow ALL his feathers back.
Follow along and let's hope he gets his fluff back. 🥰

On April 13th we acquired a trio of parakeets. Meet Lemon, Lime and Kiwi.
(Sorry. I kept forgetting to post about them. Partially because I was waiting to see how they would do.)
The beauties were having an issue with the family cat where they came from. Mostly just staring at them and stressing them out.
Lemon will have his own post also.

Update on Ruby:
We have found out that this silly birdy is a BOY! His favorite place to be is on top of Ella's head. Lol
He is doing great at learning how to fly.

Meet Ruby! (will find out gender soon)
Sweet cuddly little Sun Cheek Conure. That's her with her hatch mates and then her spotting us.
She reminds us of ruby red grapefruit. Lol
She's still a tiny baby right now. Still being hand-fed. Loves to cuddle and loves being in my hair, where she can stay warm.

We really hate that they are having to continue to stay in the small travel cages. But its supposed to get cold again.
Its been consistently warm enough at Mimi and Grampy's house that Dusty started laying eggs. We got them moved into a bigger cage with a nest box and moved Marble into the bigger travel cage that they were in.
Hopefully these eggs will hatch next month. 🤞

Surprise Surprise!!!! Dusty laid an egg!
The birds are still at Mimi and Grampy's cause we were gona do a deep clean of their cages before we brought them back home. I guess they were at the perfect temp here. Now I got to figure out how to transfer her and the egg to one of the bigger cages and fix the nest box for her and hope she sticks with it.

Spending the Ice Storm with Mimi and Grampy was like a long sleep over. Spent lots of time with Pepper.

Star says she is VERY glad to be home and back in her hidey hole.
Really sucks we couldn't get S**e and Mondo through the ice storm.
