Update on “Mateo”, he did great at the vet, did NOT have to be sedated and took his groom down like a champ! Other than some light skin issues, for which he is on meds, he looks great! I will update when the new coat grows in!😍

We are leaving the shelter, heading to Town & Country Veterinary Medical Center,  to be sedated, shaved down and thoroughly checked out. Every time this happens, I continue to be shocked at the poor treatment of animals by other humans. I will post after pictures.

Lucia, Gordita and Louie, their mom worked with the border patrol at the Texas/Mexico border. Sadly, she had a heart attack at work, and passed away. There were no family members able to take these 3 in, so we did! They were scared, confused, timid, cowering in the corner of their kennel.. at first. They are slowly coming around, playing and barking, letting us hug them and accepting treats. Gordita, is extremely overweight, we found out she has thyroid disease. At her 1 month check up, she had lost 4 pounds! They are silly and barky, extremely attached to each other and are now more comfortable here. They had been sprayed by a 🦨 before coming (we found out when they went for a groom) but are now clean with fancy new haircuts!✂️ I simply wanted to showcase these cuties, will update on their journey and where they ultimately land 💗

HOPE💕!! She was with us almost an entire year! June 2025, she was found wandering the streets of South Texas, heart worm positive, bad skin, skinny, sad, alone and scared 💔 She has spent the past year becoming heart worm NEGATIVE, has filled out, shown her true fun, playful and glowing personality 🤩and then… her people found her, and she is home🏡.
