If you are a business proprietor, you legally can inquire about only 2 things:

1. If the dog is required because of some kind of disability.
2. What ‘services’ is the dog trained to do.

A business owner can ask a person to remove their service animal if the animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it (uncontrolled barking, growling at other customers, jumping on other people, running away from the owner).
