We welcomed Milo into our home last night until he finds his perfect forever 🏡. He actually has a meet and greet today! Milo is a one year old fixed male. He came from a military family that has a newborn baby with some medical challenges. They are spending many hours and nights at the hospital and needed something to go right…so we stepped in and promised him a perfect home. He is very energetic and gets along wonderful with other dogs. Welcome to your first stop to forever Milo. He is already loved so much! ❤️🐾

At Savannah’s Angels, one of our dedicated missions is to help families in our community access the pet food they need so their beloved pets never go without.

Today, Carole and Maggie dropped off a generous load of pet food to the Lower Currituck Food Pantry. An additional drop off or pick up location for those in need of pet food is another one of our amazing partners, First Flight Veterinary Hospital and Mobile Services.

🥶 As temperatures drop, we remind our community to take extra steps to protect pets and animals during extreme cold conditions.

🐾 Bring pets indoors whenever possible
🐾 Ensure animals have proper shelter, adequate food, and unfrozen water
🐾 Check vehicles for cats or small animals seeking warmth before starting engines
🐾 Report animals left in unsafe or neglected conditions

⚠️🧂⚠️Please also be aware that rock salt can be harmful to pets. It may cause paw irritation or chemical burns, and if ingested can lead to drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, or even death.

🧊Animals rely on us for their safety. If you believe an animal is being neglected, please call📞 Dare Central at 252-473-3444 to speak with an Animal Control Officer. Let’s work together to keep our pets and animals safe during these frigid temperatures.🐾🐶🐱
