🐾 Look at this young puppy go! 🐾
We’re working on loose-leash walking, learning to maintain the heel position, match my pace, and walk without pulling. When I stop, she stops and automatically sits. You’ll see her occasionally try to take off, but with a quick redirection, she’s right back in position. That’s what training is all about: learning, making adjustments, and building consistency! 👏
We’re also incorporating obedience skills like sit, stay, down, and recall, all while working through real-world distractions, including cars, people, other dogs, and even leaves blowing in the wind! 🍃
She’s doing such an amazing job, and I couldn’t be prouder of her progress! ❤️🐶
And before anyone comments, “You’re not supposed to call a dog out of a stay because it confuses them” … keep watching! 😉
She understands the command “stay” and performs it beautifully. A solid stay means she remains in position until released, and that release can absolutely be used to transition into a recall. We’re reinforcing both skills, and as you can see, she’s doing a fantastic job with each!
Training is about building clear communication, confidence, and reliability, even with distractions around. And this girl is absolutely crushing it! 🙌🐾
