💔 Puppy Update 💔
This is a hard update to share.
Despite round-the-clock care, we lost two of the four rescue puppies, Goldie and Lavender. They were born without ever receiving colostrum or support from their mama, and after doing more research and speaking with our vet, I’ve come to understand just how slim the odds of survival truly are for puppies in that situation. Their little bodies simply didn’t have the immune support they needed from the very start.
We still have Zinnia and Dahlia with us. They are struggling, but they are hanging on, and we are continuing to fight right alongside them. 💛
We are working with our veterinarian and following every recommendation and piece of guidance they’ve given us. Sadly, with newborn puppies, there is very little “extra” that can be done beyond what I’m already doing — acting as their mama every two hours, around the clock, day and night. Feeding, warming, cleaning, stimulating, and watching every tiny change.
If you are the praying type, we would truly appreciate prayers, good thoughts, and positive energy for the two remaining babies. 🤍
Thank you to everyone who has followed their story, checked in, and supported us through this. These little lives matter deeply, no matter how short their time with us was.
Run free, Goldie and Lavender 🌈🐾
You were loved every second you were here.
