Good Fishing for our Labor Day Marathon Monday!

Got out early this am with a sold out crowd, and started where we had our best life yesterday. Saw the life again but not many to keep. After a handful of drops decided to take a ride to look for better. Took a ton of looking but finally found what we were looking for with some fantastic shots of fish on some very small pieces. Had the shorts flying with the keepers adding up fast. Definitely wasn't easy fishing with a stiff breeze and roll, had to hold the boat over the drops to make it happen. Picked the keepers off each and kept it moving. Bunch of limits today, including Steve, Brian, Frank and Joe who also stuck the pool winner. Like I said yesterday, this is September fishing! The fish are on the move, and there's not much time left! Seasonal pool is growing every day, and this is the time of year that the winning fish is caught!

Weather for tomorrow looks like the best of the week. Come on down, crowds are gone and boats wide open. Don't miss out!

Much better fluke fishing today!
Another light crowd of flukers this morning. Was greeted by a very rolly ocean and a stiff breeze from the NE. Went in a different direction than yesterday looking for more quality rather than the action. Bounced around a ton of real small pieces, holding the boat so we could pick the keepers off each. Had to work for every fish we caught, but it definitely paid off. Some very nice quality today, with many fish 3-5lb. Few of the drops also had the drop and reel life on it as well. Mike was HH with his double limit of 6 today. Richie stuck his 3, and many guys with 2 a piece. Typical September fishing, have to make a million drops to make it happen!

We'll be back at it in the AM for our 6:30AM Marathon! We have 3 spots left, hop online and book them up! Weather looks gorgeous.

Back out today with a light Saturday crowd. Very nice day on the ocean, light breeze and flat calm. Didn't have much of a drift all day with the current up into the breeze, so had to power the boat around. Lots of shorts everywhere we looked, non stop bites. Seabass were plentiful as well, easily catching our limit. (Praying they stick around for the opener in a few weeks🤞)Kept bouncing around looking for better quality fluke, but unfortunately we only able to pick a handful. Tomorrow's a new day, hopefully we have a little better of a float.

Had a charter from the FOP out today for a day of Fluking. Picked away at the shorts and Seabass with a handful of keepers in the mix. Nice day on the ocean with lots of laughs. Thanks guys, see you again next year.

Only a handful of guys down at the dock this morning so we did not fish. We'll be back at it tomorrow and the rest of the weekend.

Had a light crowd today with the rainy forecast, so bounced around a bunch of local areas that SHOULD have fish this time of year. Found some right away, both shorts and keepers, but not enough. Kept it moving and found a real nice patch of fish but mainly shorts. Lots of bites, and lots of just miss fish. Once that slowed we checked a few other areas but found more of the same, the shorts dominated the catch.

We are going to take a pass on tomorrow with the strong NE winds forecasted. We'll be back out on Thursday!

Better fishing for our Marathon Monday!
Made our way out this morning with a rare light marathon crowd. Took a ride which felt extra long bucking the tide both ways, but had immediate action as soon as we stopped. The morning saw some nice shots of keepers mixed in with the endless shorts. Mid-day the shorts really took over, to the point that we had to run from them. Had some current come up against the wind for the last hour but some bigger fish started to bite again. Had to cast around and work for the bites with the lack of drift, but those who did were rewarded. Brett was HH with 4, couple other limits and a bunch of guys with 2 each. Couple guys had over 50 shorts themselves😅 So definitely no lack of life today.

Back at it in the am. Everyday is different, we'll see what tomorrow brings! Been putting in lots of miles in every direction, grinding away to put a catch together for the past few weeks. Nothing has came easy!

Back at it today with a nice crowd and a beautiful ocean. Went in a different direction from where we've been fishing. Didn't have too much of a float so we bounced around picking shorts on a few drops. Finally got some movement when the wind picked up and the keepers started to chew a bit. Had some shots of keepers come up through the shorts throughout the day. Lots of quality, bunch in the 4-6lb range. The Seabass were ferocious too, if you dropped bait down it was almost instant. Had to use the bigger gulps to w**d out the smaller bites. Lots of action all day. Back at it tomorrow!

Got down to the dock this morning and was greeted with a stiff NE wind, much more than was forecasted. Made the decision to bag the trip knowing the conditions weren't going to be right for where we needed to fish. Spent the day catching up on some much needed maintenance instead.

We will be sailing tomorrow morning, Sunday 8/30! Weather looks good, wind should lay off until the afternoon. We have plenty of room, come on down.

Back out today after taking yesterday off with the wind. Ocean still had a little roll to it but otherwise a gorgeous day. Short life was absolutely ferocious. Drop and reel at times. Weeding through hundreds of shorts to find a keeper. Bounced around some smaller pieces of bottom the remainder of the day and was able to pull a couple keepers off each piece. Anywhere we went we had the fantastic short life, so definitely no lack of action. Always want to see more keepers, but the short life was great to see.

Back at it tomorrow. Plenty of room all weekend, come on down.
