THE DAY WE’VE BEEN HOPING AND PRAYING FOR…

Our sweet Pinky girl officially left us today for a trial stay in Key West, and we are keeping our fingers and paws crossed that this will be the beginning of her happily ever after once again. 🐾🏡💕

Pinky once knew the love of a forever home, but due to unfortunate circumstances, she found her way back to us. Now, we are praying that this sweet girl gets another chance at the happy ending she deserves. ❤️

She spent some time with her potential new mom in our yard, and we are so happy to share that they got along well! 🥹💕 Now, we wait and let time tell the rest of the story.

Our hearts are so hopeful that this new chapter will lead Pinky to a loving home where she can settle in, feel safe, and be loved for the rest of her days. Every animal deserves that kind of happiness, and we couldn’t be more grateful that she has this opportunity. 🤞🏼🐱

Please join us in sending all the love, positive thoughts, and good vibes her way! We are keeping our paws crossed that this is the beginning of her happily ever after… again. 🥺💗🏡

Our hearts are so full knowing that Upper Keys Humane Society is in the TOP THREE for Best Nonprofit Organization, and our incredible Board President, Vivianne Wicker, is in the TOP THREE for Best Volunteer Board Member! 🥹💚 But we still need your help to bring it home!

✨ DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN VOTE EVERY SINGLE DAY? ✨

We are asking our amazing community to take a moment each day to vote for Upper Keys Humane Society and Vivianne Wicker. Your daily vote may seem like a small gesture, but to us, it means the world. Every vote is a reminder that our mission matters and that our community stands behind the animals who need us most. ❤️

Our board members dedicate their time without pay, driven purely by their passion and love for animals. They show up because they believe every life deserves a chance. Vivianne’s nomination is a beautiful reflection of that dedication and the heart behind our mission.

As an independent nonprofit, we work tirelessly to expand our reach, strengthen community outreach, provide care for animals in need, and find loving, forever homes for as many animals as possible. We are proud to be the only no-kill animal shelter in our community, and we never stop fighting for the animals who depend on us. 🐶🐱

A QUICK BUT IMPORTANT REMINDER: Upper Keys Humane Society is an independent nonprofit and is NOT affiliated with the facility at Mile Marker 105.

To everyone who has voted, donated, volunteered, adopted, fostered, shared our posts, or supported us in any way THANK YOU. You are part of every life we save, and we could not do this without you.

PLEASE VOTE FOR US EVERY DAY! And while you’re at it, please vote for Vivianne Wicker for Best Volunteer Board Member, too! Share this post with your friends and family, and encourage them to join us in supporting a mission built on compassion, dedication, and unconditional love.

Let’s show everyone what the Florida Keys community can accomplish when we come together for the animals. Every vote counts, every life matters, and every act of kindness makes a difference. 🐾

A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO MADE OUR BINGO CRUISE A SUCCESS!

What an unforgettable evening on the water! Our Bingo Cruise was filled with fun, laughter, amazing people, and most importantly, an incredible opportunity to raise vital funds for the animals at Upper Keys Humane Society. Events like these take a village, and we are beyond grateful for everyone who stepped up to make this night so special!

First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to Donna and Jimmy Hendricks. Without their generosity and support in hosting our bingo cruise aboard the Key Largo Princess glass-bottom boat, this event would not have been possible. We are so grateful to them for helping make this special day happen!

🎤 A special shout-out to Ross Bloodworth, our amazing bingo caller! Ross took on the challenge of this first-time experience with such grace, ease, and humor. He kept the excitement going, everyone engaged, and the event running smoothly and on schedule. We couldn’t have asked for a better bingo caller, and we are so thankful he was part of this event!

👏 JP, the Food and Beverage Director at the Holiday Inn, deserves a huge thank-you for supplying the tables, tablecloths, chairs, and other essentials that helped bring everything together. Your support made a big difference!

🥐 Vickey’s Bakery — thank you for donating the delicious pastries that everyone enjoyed!

🎁 Suzette T. — thank you for your generous donation of a beautiful raffle basket!

📸 Anita — Thank you for always creating colorful signage, promoting our events, and capturing all the beautiful moments, including the behind-the-scenes details that make these events so special. We appreciate everything you do!

🏨 Shannon B. at Reefhouse Resort & Marina — Thank you for generously donating a hotel stay and helping us create an exciting raffle opportunity!

🍷 Denny’s Liquor — Thank you for your generous w**e donation and for supporting our cause!

✨ Dr. Manjula J., MD, Cosmetic Dermatologist — Thank you for donating Miami MD products and contributing to our raffle!

🚤 Captain Jeff with Lying Hawaiian — A huge shoutout to you for generously donating your time and vessel to support our event! Your willingness to give back to the community means so much.

⚓ And last, but certainly not least, to the captain and crew of the Key Largo Princess Glass Bottom Boat: Thank you for taking such wonderful care of everyone throughout the evening. You didn’t just navigate the waters — you helped create an unforgettable night filled with laughter, memories, and a shared purpose. We are so grateful for your kindness and support!

Every donation, every helping hand, and every act of generosity makes a difference. As a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter, Upper Keys Humane Society relies on the kindness of our community to continue caring for the animals who need us most. The funds raised through events like this help us continue our mission and provide a safe haven for the cats and dogs counting on us.

To everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, sponsored, or helped spread the word ,THANK YOU! 💙 You are an important part of our mission, and we couldn’t do this without you.

Here’s to making more memories, bringing our community together, and continuing to make waves of change for the animals!
