Folks, your kids' lives matter.

If your a parent or grandparent looking to get a child a horse,

Listen to me,

This is Absolutely NOT the time to be cheap or skip steps.

First,

Enroll your child into an established lesson program that is respected and priorities horse care, ground work and riding.

Unless you're a professional horse person, don't skip this.

Start building a good support system within the horse community.

When you first start to look into a horse for your child, listen to advice from professionals. Bring your trainer with you when you visit potential horses. Listen to them, not the kid. If cost is a concern, horse ownership may not be the right choice. Consider leasing.

If you buy, then partner that horse with your child under lesson / training guidance awhile.

Horses can kill your child because you were too cheap to do the proper steps to help make the Equine adventure safer.

Your kid matters too much for you to cut corners on training or the right horse.

Got a thin skinned TB? Horse always scraping themselves playing rough? Got injured in a spot that’s difficult to bandage but need to keep the flies out?

Alushield is the best stuff ever and for some reason, not a whole lot of my connections know about it.

It basically looks like silver spray paint and it is antimicrobial. It makes a hard dry covering on the wound, easy to spray over top of stitches or on anything that you need to scab up.

Back when I had Peach, I always had at least two cans, one using and one full spare. 😱 Now it’s baby Minno turn.

I do NOT get any consideration for any product that I recommend to you guys. They are just genuinely things that I think are awesome.

Hard to watch, but a really good example of what a seizure looks like.
DO NOT Go near a seizing horse. They will fall on you. They will thrash and hit you or kick you without knowing it.

Wait for the seizure to pass and then administer care.

Update on “the mare” preliminary vetting seems to have been unremarkable-
Good on them for accomplishing all of that without causing harm to humans or too much stress to her
