🐾 Some patients take “rest and recover” very seriously. 🐾💤

This sweet little rescue pup came to us needing a leg amputation, and today she came back for her suture removal. Her recovery has been incredible—and apparently, she decided the best way to celebrate was to take a little nap right in the middle of her appointment. 😂💕

She may be missing a leg, but she certainly isn’t missing cuteness, cuddles, or the ability to steal everyone’s hearts. 🥹🐶

We are so thankful for our rescue partners who step up for these babies and give them the second chance they deserve. ❤️ And we’re even happier to see this little one healing, growing, and getting ready for her next chapter as a very happy tripawd! 🐾

One year ago today, we walked out of Friends Veterinary Clinic after our very first day wondering… “Are we crazy?! Are we really doing this?!”

Tonight, exactly one year later, we answered our 600th after-hours emergency call and with only one Doctor! The amazing Dr Mac!. ❤️🐾

When we opened our doors, we knew there was a need in our community, but we never could have imagined just how great that need would be. Those 600 calls represent pets and families who needed someone to answer when the regular workday was already over.

We are incredibly blessed to be part of a community that cares so deeply about its animals. We’re especially thankful for our rescue partners, Kerr County Animal Control, and all of the incredible people who continue to go the extra mile right alongside us.

There have been a lot of long days and late nights over this first year, but looking at our parking lot tonight, one year later, makes that first-day question pretty easy to answer:

Yes, we really did this! And we’d do it all over again!

🇺🇸 WE REMEMBER 🇺🇸

25 years ago today, our country changed forever.

For those of us old enough to remember, we remember where we were and the feeling of watching that day unfold.

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the families who have carried that loss ever since.

25 years later, we remember. We honor them. We will never forget. ♥️ 9/11/2001

🐱✨ Bring your cat to the clinic… they might just make a new best friend! ✨🐱

Our clinic kitty is enjoying a little Churu treat today, and let’s just say… she highly recommends it. 😻

If your cat comes in for a visit, don’t be surprised if they decide they need a Churu stick too! 🐾💕
