HAPPY SATURDAY!
So grateful for the additional outdoor runs & the extra outside time our dogs get to enjoy. They are loving their puppy pools and the fresh air. Come by next week and meet some of our awesome pups.

We’re delighted to introduce our 2 newest family members, “Meatball” & “Choochie”.
They are both male Daschund Mixes & approximately 3 years old. Meatball & Choochie were surrendered by their family to us by no fault of their own. They have adapted to the shelter quickly & are incredibly affectionate once you’ve earned their trust. Their favorite past time is sliding on their bellies down the hill in their new play yard. Once they’ve scratched their tummies enough they want to pile in your lap and smother you in kisses. They don’t know they are small dogs because when new people approach our building they bark as if they’re security guards for the entire shelter. Meatball is the tan male and Choochie is the black and tan. They’re scheduled for their neuter and shots next week and once healed they’ll be ready to go home. Don’t miss your chance to adopt one or both of these handsome guys.

We are over the Moon excited to have 5 new outdoor runs for our dogs to enjoy!!
Today is the first day they’re getting to soak up more outside time and they’re loving every minute of it!

“Sparky” says howdy & hope you’ll come meet me!
Sparky is a super sweet male Hound Mix who’s around 15 months old and 50 pounds. Sparky along with his Mom & 2 brothers were running loose the day after the 4th of July flood last year. We took in all 4 of them & happily his Mom and 2 brothers have been adopted. But Sparky is still waiting for his forever home. Sparky is such a sweet boy and is a staff and volunteer favorite at the shelter. His playful yet easy going demeanor makes him a really fun dog to be around. Sparky plays well with other dogs and walks great on his leash. Like most Hounds, Sparky has a keen sense of smell and loves playing in the water. He is great with all people and is a huge fan of belly rubs and milk bones. We’d be so happy if Sparky could find his forever home soon. He’s been waiting for his forever family to come get him since the flood ~ could it be with you?

We know it’s hard to believe a dog could be THIS GORGEOUS, but “Milla” is one of the most beautiful girls we’ve seen in a long time!
Milla is an Australian Shepherd mix and is between 2 and 3 years old. She weighs 42 pounds and has an exceptionally healthy fur coat. To say that her pale blue eyes are stunning would be an understatement. They are so exquisite that they almost look unreal, and it’s easy to get hypnotized staring into them. Milla is an incredibly gentle girl who walks well on her leash and is so sweet when she takes treats out of your hand. She sits without even asking her and waits so patiently for her treats. Milla’s calm and gentle demeanor would make her an excellent family dog. It’s hard to imagine she will be at the shelter very long so make an appointment to come meet her before you miss your chance!

We are crazy for “Coco!”
Coco is a female Beagle/Daschund Mix and is between 3.5 and 4 years old. Coco by no fault of her own was surrendered by her family. Her father has ongoing health issues which made it difficult for him to take care of her. Coco has adjusted remarkably fast to the shelter after only a few days but is anxious to be back in a home. When you enter her adoption room Coco immediately jumps in your lap and smothers you with kisses. She is so excited to see you and craves attention and affection she was used to getting. Coco walks great on her leash and seems to love all other dogs. Coco has already been spayed and is up to date on vaccines so she is ready for adoption immediately. You REALLY don’t want to miss out on this special girl. Call us soon to come meet this precious pup.

“OPAL” you are oh sooooo cute!
This adorable female Australian Shepherd Mix is a petite and fun loving girl. At only 28 pounds and just over a year old, Opal is full grown and would make a wonderful family dog. She is small in size & has a such a fun and loving personality. Opal adores going on walks & does great on a leash. She is happiest when she’s sitting in your lap so she’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a dog who likes to snuggle. Opal has a gorgeous coat and stunning pale blue eyes. If you’re looking for a small dog with a very well balanced personality then Opal is your perfect match.

This is the playful girl we wish everyone could see. “Patricia” is scared of new people, so she hides when potential adopters approach her kennel. She darts through her doggie door to avoid strangers and people move along to see other dogs. But they are missing out on an adorable girl. Patricia needs someone who will take the time to earn her trust. It doesn’t take long. Once she knows she can trust you, Patricia shows her true personality. She is spunky, playful, energetic, and loves playing with other dogs. Patricia is between 6 & 7 years old and has a lot of wonderful years ahead of her if she can find her forever person. We know that person/family is out there and her happy ending will happen. Could it be with you?

Say Howdy to “Sammy Dean!”
Sammy Dean is a strikingly handsome male Boxer Mix who is around 5 years old. At approximately 50 pounds, Sammy Dean is pure muscle and 100% cuddle bunny. Don’t let his stocky build fool you. Sammy Dean wants nothing more than to be in your lap. He loves hanging out near his favorite people and doesn’t require more than a soft place to rest and the occasional pet on the head. Sammy Dean gets along with other dogs and we just discovered he is good with cats!
He’s never met another human he doesn’t like and with one look at his smile you’ll be in love. Please give this sweet boy a chance to win your heart. 💗
