Pull an egg sac with us! 🕷️🥚

We're opening a Psalmopoeus irminia (Venezuelan Suntiger) egg sac, and these babies are in for a wild ride. This genus is one of the fastest growing in the hobby, and the spiderlings come out bold and colorful from day one.

They're also heavy webbers, so expect tiny silk tubes to start popping up almost immediately.

How many spiderlings do you think are in this sac? Drop your guess below and see who gets closest. 👇

Meet Grammostola rosea RCF, the Red Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula. 🕷️

Rose hairs are famous for their fasting. They can go weeks, even months, without eating and be perfectly fine, which is why a skipped meal is rarely a reason to panic.

Forgot to mist this week? They're from the dry, harsh landscapes of Chile, so they won't hold it against you. Basically a pet rock, just way cooler and with a lot more legs. 🪨

Did you know a rose hair can turn down food for months and still be healthy? 👇

One of the most iconic blues in the entire hobby, and it only gets deeper with every molt. Ask any keeper to picture a blue tarantula, this is the one they see.

Meet Avicularia urticans 'Green,' the Peruvian Green Pink Toe Tarantula. 🕷️

Unlike most New World tarantulas, this genus doesn't have the type of urticating hairs that can be flicked at a threat. Instead, it leans on speed, often bolting or even jumping when startled rather than standing its ground.

It's also a heavy webber, building silk tubes high up against bark and expanding on them constantly, turning its enclosure into an ever-changing structure.

Did you know Avicularia doesn't have that classic flicking hair defense? 👇
