One look at this species and itโs easy to see where the name comes from ๐
The Peruvian Half & Half Tarantula features a striking split coloration, combining deep black tones with rich coffee-brown coloration that gives it a bold, contrasting appearance rarely seen in terrestrial tarantulas.
This species is referred to as *sp. โAngularโ because of its noticeably angular carapace shape, giving it a unique overall appearance compared to many other terrestrial species.
Believed to be endemic to Peru, this tarantula is naturally found only within that region and is still extremely new to the USA hobby, with very limited information and availability currently surrounding the species .
What is currently known is that this is a tropical terrestrial tarantula expected to reach a moderate size as it matures. Like many tropical terrestrials, it will likely appreciate deeper substrate and stable humidity conditions.
With its rarity, limited presence in the hobby, and unusual coloration, *Reversopelma sp. โAngularโ stands out as an exciting opportunity for collectors looking to work with one of the newest and most unique species entering the USA.
