It was a good day to garden! The Sun, pleasant temperatures and autumn crops to harvest. And some summer crops that are still going 😁

I harvested turnip greens to make room for the rest of the turnips to grow. I parboiled & froze them since the spinach that I froze had been used ❤️

Amazingly, I'm still getting peppers! Here are 3 red ones, and then there's even more green ones.

I got one mini butternut Squash on that plant, which will be going in my lunch this week 😊 and I harvested the last of my beans for dinner tomorrow, leaving a bunch on the Vine to make seeds for next year.

I'm also going to experiment with the baby turnips that were on the greens I pulled.

Of course, there is lettuce and the kale is doing great and some of my peas are fruiting!

Even some of my carrots actually survived all storms and are growing!

If my tomatoes hadn't gotten blight I think I'd still be getting a few of those too, because there are 1 or 2 that are still trying their hardest to ripen.

I was a bit afraid to look out at my vegetables after the storms, but they actually are doing great!

Today I got a lot of gardening done today before it got too hot in the sun 😁
I've got cucumbers and a baby mini acorn squash, more Patty Pans. Got tons of bush beans. The climbing beans are starting to produce. I'm getting a few red tomatoes (which are delicious & never make it into the house 😁) and the sweet peppers are doing amazing! The turnips and shelling peas are doing great. I'm gonna need to thin the turnips soon. I've never grown them before. The fall carrots and celery have sprouted! I'm so excited, they're hard to get to sprout sometimes. The fall bushbeans are growing in great too.
I spent a lot of the morning tying up all the cucumbers & squash, because they needed a little guidance. And rerouting some of the climbing beans, so they're not going up the tree but actually on the trellis where I can reach them 😂
And I finally got in some of the the last fall seeds, kale and lettuce

I'm happy with my potato tower experiment. The top 2 crates did well and in fact, they haven't died back all the way yet. So I've left them and just pulled out a few of those potatoes.

The bottom 2 crates did not produce as well. I think they stayed too soggy.

I didn't get tons but I'm happy with my first try. I learned a lot. I think I will go back to the tires but drill holes in them so more moisture can get out this time. This will allow me to stack them as they get taller, which should produce more potatoes.

I like the crates, but there wasn't room for tons of potatoes to form in there 😊

Don't squish them! If you see these on your plants consider yourself lucky! These are ladybug larvae!❤️

Lesson learned, don't start cucumber seeds so early. Otherwise I am trying various stopgaps to keep them from being a tangled mess until its warm enough to put them outside! They are already blooming lol 😂

Another of the greens are already trying to go to seed, so harvest time!
The bok choi stems are sweet, I thought the leaves would be good too, but they are kindof bitter. Too bad I didn't taste them before I chopped most of them up lol 🤣
They all went into the freezer, since we are not using them today or tomorrow.
Besides the stems, a picture of the bok Choi flower which alerted me to get them picked right away, our head of Romain lettuce & our first broccoli!

Harvested all the spinach this morning 😁 It was getting too hot, the leaves were getting sunburnt. Although as an experiment I cut them all off and let the roots there to see if they regrow lol.
