Thank you for all your love and support throughout the years, it is with a heavy heart that I have to let you all know. I am closing the business.

We enjoyed getting to know so many new fur, feather, and scaly babies. Much love to everyone.

Birds and Beaks Rescue and Rehab, Battlecreek, MI, USA

A Non profit rescue getting mean emails when they are rescuing and taking care of hundreds of birds is so unnecessary.

They have a vetting process in place for a reason, to make sure they go to a safe and loving home.

Make your voice heard, save the baby raccoons. All creatures deserve a safe home

The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County has decided that Willowbrook Wildlife Center can no longer help raccoons. Per their decision, anyone that brings an injured raccoon(s) or orphaned baby raccoon(s) to Willowbrook Wildlife Center will be told to take them elsewhere for help or to leave the raccoon(s) at Willowbrook where they will be euthanized. Please note that there are very limited options outside of Willowbrook where these raccoons could be taken for help. This being the case, most raccoons including healthy babies will be euthanized.

We need your voice now for two reasons. One baby season has started and so it is possible that DuPage residents will run into an orphaned litter. Second, the Forest Preserve is meeting Tuesday to discuss a renovation plan at Willowbrook which would turn the raccoon's enclosure into an Avian habitat.

If this renovation is approved, this would severely compromise the ability of Willowbrook to take raccoons in the future if the Forest Preserve postponed or reversed this current raccoon decision.

Please attend the upcoming DuPage County Forest Preserve Meeting or submit a public comment online asking the Forest Preserve to POSTPONE the approval of this renovation. We ask for this delay so that the Forest Preserve Board can have a discussion that includes the frontline workers, the Willowbrook Staff who are the ones that have to implement the raccoon policy and as well also includes the residents of DuPage County who will be affected by this decision.
