Photo dump! It's been a while since I've shared anything. As of 4/12, I am 5 months old. Weighed in at 42lbs about 2 weeks ago. The big dude in some of these pics is my Daddy, Cory. Even sleeping in the same bed as him, it took me a few weeks to be willing to say hi to him independently. Now, I get excited to see my Daddy when he gets home from wherever he goes without us. I'm still having some trouble with consistent obedience. I'm pretty sure that's more of mom's fault than mine because they haven't been able to do as much with training over the last 2 months because they've had pneumonia for almost 2 months now. They tested negative for the current plague (COVID-19) at least, but it still has sapped a lot of their energy. So maybe it's not mom's fault as much as the pneumonias fault. Anyway, enjoy the photo dump 💜

This is how I tell momma it's ok when he has nightmares. I cuddle and give him lots of kisses. He says it works because he won't hit a critter, even in his sleep where he would hit a human. I love my momma 💜

Momma says I'm a good boy because I woke them up. They were having a PTSD nightmare, so I bounced on their chest once, licked their face until they said "I'm awake", and lay down on their chest until they stopped shaking and asked me to get off.

For those wondering about the weird pronouns with my mom/momma, it's because Mandy, my handler, is super gender fluid. Some days (like today) he is more of a he, some days, he's more of a she, some days he's more of a they. If you talk to him, any pronouns are fine as long as they're said with respect. He doesn't expect people to be able to keep up with his ever changing gender, but it's also perfectly acceptable to ask what his pronouns are on any given day.

Today, I found one of mommas hair ties on the floor. I was going to play with it, then he asked me to bring it to him and I did without hesitation! I got lots of treats and praise for it!

From yesterday's session on item identification and retrieval. Pictured are left to right, top to bottom: "pulse ox", inhaler, w**d bag, and keys. The hardest thing is being willing to give up the items rather than taking them to chew on, but I'm doing really well. I'm a little unsure of the heavier things because I'm not sure if I should pull against any resistance.
