What started as an idea has turned into this HUGE community effort, and seeing so many small businesses and local people willing to come together for animals in need has honestly been one of my favorite parts of putting this event together. 🥹❤️

We have some exciting news to share! 🎉

Crystal, one of our amazing veterinary assistants just celebrated her one year anniversary with us, and has officially been accepted into veterinary school, and we couldn’t be prouder!

While we will miss seeing her in the clinic as often, we are so excited to watch her take the next step toward becoming a veterinarian.

As temperatures rise, so does the risk of heatstroke in our pets and it can happen faster than you think!

Dogs and cats don’t cool down the same way we do, making them especially vulnerable on warm days.

🚨 Know the warning signs:

- Excessive panting or drooling
- Lethargy or weakness
-Vomiting or diarrhea
-Bright red gums or tongue
-Collapse or disorientation

💡 Prevention is key:

-Never leave pets in a parked car, even for a minute
-Provide fresh water and plenty of shade
-Avoid midday walks; opt for early morning or evening
-Test pavement with your hand, it should be cool enough for paws

If you suspect heatstroke, seek veterinary care immediately. It’s a medical emergency.
