East West Training Stables, owned by husband and wife team Matt Brown and Cecily Clark, is a full-service barn. Operating out of East West Eventing in Kennett Square, PA; we take a systematic and individualized approach to each horse and rider in order to develop a strong and successful partnership built on clear communication, solid basics, and compassionate horsemanship.

ISO for a really lovely amateur client:
5-13 year old horse with eventing experience at least through training. 16.1+ (rider is tall, so smaller horse would need to be big bodied and uphill).
Ideal horse is one that loves its’ job, will help build confidence, is fun to ride, and is safe. Does not need to be a world be**er, but does need to be quality.
Younger horses would need to have an old soul and be genuinely suited for a non pro ride. Horses stepping down from upper levels would be great, some maintenance and management to be expected.
Horse can be on the quiet side or more forward thinking, just nothing that feels sketchy or scary 👻.
Rider will be in our program, horse would be impeccably cared for and loved.
Would consider a lease.
Budget in the mid to slightly higher mid fives.
Located in Kennett Square, PA, will travel for well suited horses

I’ve been thinking for a long time about what I actually want to say — about horses, about competition, about the Eastern philosophies that changed how I work, about the gap between the sport we show the world and the sport we know from the inside.
East West Eventing is where I’m going to say it.
