It has rained at my house every day over the past week. Our yard is soggy! I’ve dried MANY wet paws and mopped more times that I can count. But the nasty weather gave me a great opportunity to get puppy folders and bags done!! Yay for having it done ahead of schedule!! 👍🏻

The puppies got new collars today. They are still the same color, but their newborn collars were quickly becoming too small. These collars are super tiny, breakaway collars. They are about 6” long and if they get caught they will easily release for safety. I am also including a photo of today’s brush rewards from Charlotte and Grace. I was sharing with a family recently how the mommas will likely look homeless at pickup because they blow their coats. Some girls don’t lose as much as others, but Charlotte loses nearly 90% of her hair. She is brushed daily but she still walks with a cloud of cavalier glitter falling behind her no matter what I do. This started when her pups were born and will continue until she stops feeding them. My vacuum is in overdrive daily. 😣
Yes you also can see that Rebel is tired of watching Charlotte and Grace raise these puppies. She has taken over as ‘best auntie’ on duty.

🇺🇸 3 WEEKS 🇺🇸

Charlotte two little princesses are 3 weeks old today. They are beginning to push up and get steady on their feet. I’ve seen a few steps but they aren’t quite walking yet. Their teeth are coming in and they impress me daily how they keep up with the older puppies.
The early stimulation is continuing. They love to be held and don’t mind nail trims, messing with their ears and toes, etc. They are both easy going, sweet little ladies.
Neither of the girls have names yet, but they have been reserved.

🇺🇸 4 WEEKS 🇺🇸

It’s Memorial Day and Grace’s puppies are 4 weeks old! This patriotic bunch is doing amazing! Their teeth are coming in and they are walking! They are wobbly and shaky, but they are learning fast and precious to watch. The puppies are also beginning to play and interact. 🤩
Potty training has begun! It’s a multistep process that starts as soon as they are walking. This week their pens are half comfy bed and half pad. It’s instinctual that puppies won’t potty where they sleep. I’m already changing the pad multiple times a day because they are learning so fast. As they master this and get more steady on the feet, their pen will get larger.
This week I will begin to welcome visitors. Exposing the puppies to other dogs and people is critical is building confidence and comfort.
Hopefully my families can see which puppy is theirs. I tried to get the collars to cooperate. 🤪

I will never get used to how fast puppies grow and change. They seem to somehow get cuter every day! 🥰
