Meet Bear. He came in with some pretty severe matting, and while he’s the sweetest boy, his coat needed some serious TLC.

We get asked a lot why we don’t just “brush out” the mats. The truth is, dematting is painful. Pulling at tight knots causes intense discomfort and skin irritation for the dog, and at this stage, the kindest thing we can do is give him a fresh start. Safety and comfort always come before aesthetics!
