Happy Tails! We love it when our dogs are adopted into loving homes. We really like it when the families send us updates on how their new baby is doing! Brix, now Taz, was adopted in May by Jim and Jen Fisher. Here is their story and how much Taz has filled their home and hearts with love.

We had just lost our sweet senior boy, ND, just three weeks shy of his 14th birthday. Our other pup, Fozzy (11), loves dogs and loves to play, but at their meet-and-greet? He wanted nothing to do with Taz.
Fast forward one week, and these two are having 15-minute play sessions. Fozzy chooses to nap right next to Taz's playpen. He gets visibly excited when it's time to let Taz out. And Taz? He follows Fozzy around like he hung the moon.
Taz was honestly the only dog we found across all the rescue sites we searched who checked every single box: under 20 lbs., full grown, no grooming cuts required, and under a year old. But when we saw that smile, those pearly white teeth, and that little bandana in his photos on the website...we were done for.
He has fully lived up to the name Taz. This dog is ALWAYS going, always exploring, always finding something he shouldn't steal or chew. We literally have to put him in his playpen to get him to stop and rest. But recently, he climbed onto the couch on his own, with no toy in his mouth, and just lay down. No nipping. No chaos. Just a calm little pup settling in. Big moment in this house.
His first weeks of walks were an adventure with yard waste, trash cans, lawnmowers, deer, and recycling bins full of treasures. His default is to growl and get his hackles up (Jim calls him a little wildebeest), but I gently walk him up to whatever spooked him, he sniffs it, and by the next time? No reaction. His world is growing a little bigger every day.
He makes us laugh every single day. He has brought so much joy to our whole family, mom, dad, and big brother Fozzy, during what has been a really hard time.
And one more thing. When Taz's foster mom sent me a photo of him curled up asleep inside his toy bin, I stopped cold. We have the exact same photo of ND when he was a puppy. Taz's foster mom said it was the first time he had ever done that. We both agreed it was a sign. We are so grateful and so blessed.
