We’re back! Since we hatched 8 eggs in February, we’ve been busy! We currently have 2 roosters and 9 hens total. Not only has our daily harvest, doubled but we now get a chance to incubate our own fertilized eggs. Only 18 more days to go and we’ll have a new set of happy little chicks!

It can be hard to stay motivated this time of year. The cold weather sets in and we see the fruits of our labor, dwindle. It can feel as though all those months of tenderness and care have vanished with one frost. My advice? Find your silver lining. What beds can be cleared? What can you transfer indoors? What seasonal veggies grow better during these brisk months? Whatever your drive, find it and keep plugging away. I promise, the off season efforts will not be in vain.
