🎀🐾 PAWS FOR PINK 🐾🎀

This October, we’re painting pink paws for breast cancer awareness! 🩷

For just $5 (cash donation), your pup can get their toenails painted PINK, with 100% of donations going directly to Hope Totes ! You can also donate more if your heart desires. 🩷

💗 Why Hope Totes? 💗 Hope Totes

Hope Totes is an incredible nonprofit dedicated to offering comfort and hope in times of medical need to patients and their caregivers through their totes. While they support people facing many different medical challenges, they are also amazing advocates and supporters of those battling breast cancer. 🎀

When Amanda’s mom was battling breast cancer in 2024-2026, receiving a Hope Tote made a HUGE positive difference in her cancer journey. It was more than just a tote - it wrapped her in comfort, love, and hope during such a difficult time. 🩷

Now, our goal is to help Hope Totes do the same for someone else. We want to help provide that same comfort, encouragement, and hope to another warrior and their family when they need it most. 💗

This cause is especially close to the Alford family’s hearts. Amanda’s mom battled breast cancer, and Deleon’s grandmother has fought breast cancer twice. We also have several Alford’s Angels clients who have fought or are currently fighting. There are so many people right here in our Buffalo community affected by breast cancer, and we want them to know they’re not alone. 🩷

So let’s paint some pink paws, spread awareness, and show our support! 🎀🐾

October is here, and you already know Alford’s Angels is going PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 💕🐾

Minnie helped us kick off the pink Pawty with the cutest little pink ponytail 🎀✨ and we’re just getting started!

All October long, we’re going PAWS FOR PINK 🐾🎀 So stay tuned for all the details on how you can join us, support the cause, and help us make a difference! 💗

Meet TEDDY! 🐾💙❤️

Teddy was one of our special recipients from last year’s Bills Dog Event, where we raised funds for what we now call the Alford’s Angels Fur Fund — helping furry angels and their families through difficult times.

Last year, we chose two special dogs to receive a full year of grooming, completely on us. And Teddy is truly a furry angel in every sense. 🥹

Teddy is a service dog for a very special little boy named Owen, and Mom says he’s been doing an amazing job detecting Owen’s nighttime seizures. He’s truly a doggie hero. 🦸‍♂️🐾

We’re so honored to care for this special boy! Mom says they’re headed to Florida for vacation, so Teddy came in to get vacation-ready. ☀️🌴

TEDDY, you deserve the BEST vacation! We hope you and your family have the most amazing time! 💙🐾

🖤 A little late, but we couldn’t let National Black Dog Day pass without showing some love! 🖤

October 1st was National Black Dog Day, and this one is personal for me. My very first dog growing up was a black Standard Poodle. We got him for Christmas, I was OBSESSED, and that dog is literally the reason I fell in love with dogs. 🥹❤️

Black dogs are often overlooked in the rescue world, and I honestly don’t get it. When I see black, I see sleek, elegant, BEAUTIFUL - and listen, I LOVE ME A BLACK DOG! 🖤

Today’s salon girl is Maizy! She was rescued by one of my good friends Leanna Jividen and given the BEST life. She’s also a French Boodle — French Bulldog + Poodle and the first one we’ve ever had at the salon! Needless to say… I’m a fan. 😂🐾

If you’re thinking about adopting, check out the black dogs first. You might just find your new best friend waiting for someone to see how special they really are. 🖤🐶
