"16-Month-Old cattle dog with a slight mix of other breeds for a good, child free home with a lot of space and plenty of work to do.

Roxanne, it's probably the smallest cattle dog I have seen weighing in at just 33 lb. She is short, but she is mighty. Not much of a cuddler, and a fairly picky eater, but she will do just about anything for a ball and especially a frisbee.

She has issues with the vet, getting her nails clipped, she's not friendly with children, she doesn't hurt cats, but she will try to herd them. And cats usually don't like that. She can be difficult in enclosed spaces with strangers as well.

Sharp as a tack, she learns tricks within 5 minutes of trying to teach her. She'll jump through your arms as a hoop, weave through your legs, jump off your hip to catch a frisbee and will be willing to learn whatever you want to teach her.

She's great at the dog park, and great with other dogs.

The ideal placement for her would be with someone who has more than enough time to play with her and preferably is not a workaholic at a 9:00 to 5:00. Having plenty of land her her would help. I have seen or heard cows one time before when some cows wandered on to my parents property. So the instinct is there, if any ranchers/ Farmers need an additional hand.

"Super friendly and sweet boy looking for a new forever home. He's great with kids and gets along with most other dogs. Knows sit and stay. Not walked on a leash often, but is fully kennel trained and sleeps in his kennel every night.
He's active in short bursts and pretty lazy the rest of the time—loves just hanging out near people.
We're heartbroken to rehome him due to a recent diagnosis of dog allergies and asthma in our household. We can no longer keep him safely.

"Pancake is a smart and confident 13yo "cowgirl" corgi (corgi/Australian cattle dog mix) looking for a quiet home for her twilight years.

She's small at about 27lbs, but mighty! She's a healthy gal, still moves with ease, and has a runner's heart. Even the occasional morning zoomies! She loves toys and playing fetch, and is more motivated by toys/play than food. While she's not particularly cuddly, she loves chest and tummy scritches, and will join you on the couch or in bed for a snooze and lean if invited.

She's an anxious barker and is vocal when stressed or trying to communicate (AKA to boss you around). She also has some leash anxiety when seeing other dogs, so timing walks for quieter hours or on routes with less foot traffic would set her up for success.

Pancake would thrive best as the only pet in a single-dog household where she can receive all the focus and love she deserves. She is looking for an adult-only home (or a home with teenagers) where she can enjoy a predictable, calm environment.

She's spayed, up to date on all shots, and microchipped. She's currently with her original family, looking for a loving home (rehoming is allergy related)."

"Meet Max! Max is a 5-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (birthday June 3) who has been with our family since he was just 2 months old. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Max is smart, loyal, playful, and full of personality. He loves being outside, going on adventures, playing with sticks, and his absolute FAVORITE thing is chasing bubbles! 😂 He has that classic cattle-dog drive and would thrive with an active, experienced owner who hikes, spends time outdoors, or can give him a job and plenty of mental stimulation. He knows basic commands and tricks and would benefit from continued training.

But Max also has a fantastic couch-potato side! Once he's gotten his activity in, he's perfectly happy lounging around the house. He's also quite the communicator—if he's bored or displeased, you'll hear plenty of dramatic huffs, sighs, and grumbles. 😂

Max can do well with some dogs, particularly smaller dogs and potentially calm females, but can be dominant with other dogs and gets stressed around groups of dogs. Careful introductions are important. A cat-free home would be best due to his tendency to chase.

Most importantly, Max needs an adult-only, child-free home with someone experienced with herding breeds and behavioral training. He has shown concerning behavior around children, and we want to be completely transparent so he is placed in a safe, appropriate environment."

"Pepper (short tail) and Ginger (long tail) are 4 yr old female Blue Heeler, Border Collie and German Shepherd mixes from the same litter. Their mom was pure blue heeler and their dad was a border collie/german shepherd mix. At 8 months old they were already working as a team to herd 20 cattle on my grandma's property with no instruction. We have taken them to sheep herding lessons and Pepper has a natural sheep herding instinct, while Ginger needs more instruction. They both have incredible rodent hunting prey drive. Ginger has killed 2 rats and Pepper has found several moles/voles in only 20minutes of digging. They respond to the command "fetch a rodent" where they run and hop through fields, especially with long grass. We have videos of rodent hunting and cattle herding.
My husband and my jobs are becoming increasingly demanding with long hours. We live in a subdivision with a small back yard and have been trying to continue to walk them/run them off leash for at least 1hr in the morning and 1hr at night. We have been trying to afford a property with a couple acres for several years now and have not been able to make the move and therefore are looking to rehome both Pepper and Ginger. It has been an incredibly difficult decision as we have enjoyed having these dogs. Running out of space to type, please reach out for more information and videos."

"Freya loves playing with toys, rolling in the grass, belly rubs, and going for walks. She bonds strongly with her person and will be a loyal companion. She is looking for an adult only home where she can be the only dog. She has been at Homeward Pet Adoption Center in Woodinville for nine months after being abandoned in front of the center in a crate. She was very scared but has since become calm and confident. She gets very excited (whining, pulling) to see other dogs so we are recommending she be the only dog and live in a quieter neighborhood. She is a real love looking for a home as sweet as she is."

"After a lot of tears and soul-searching, we've made the incredibly difficult decision to find a new home for Jackdog.

Jackdog is a 5-year-old Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix. He is intelligent, loyal, and forms strong bonds with his people. He loves being outdoors and would thrive with someone who understands working breeds and can give him the physical exercise, mental stimulation, and structure he needs.

Because of several behavioral concerns, I will only consider homes that are:

Adults only (no young children)
No cats
No other dogs
Experienced with herding or working breeds

Jackdog has shown resource guarding tendencies and can become overstimulated in exciting situations. He needs someone who can confidently manage these behaviors and continue his training. This is not a first-time dog.

This decision is not because we don't love him. Quite the opposite. We love him enough to recognize that our home is no longer the right fit for him. Now with a young child in the house, I cannot provide the environment he deserves, and I have to prioritize everyone's safety.

I will be completely honest about his history with anyone seriously interested in adopting him because finding the right home is far more important to me than finding a quick home.
