Bernedoodle puppies are coming this winter. Wyllow and Cody are expecting, and so are Emelyn and Cody.

Every pup in these photos is from Wyllow's or Emelyn's last litter, mixed together so you can see the range. That tri-color look is what we expect again: black, white and rust, with a chance of merle. They're F1B mini Bernedoodles, which means extra poodle in the mix and low to no shedding.

Both litters should be home around mid-February, right in time for Valentine's Day.

Riley and Clyde's eight are two weeks old. Rusty, Rowan, Renee, Reina, Randy, Raven, River and Rosalie.

Look closely at the faces. The eyes are starting to open. Not all the way, just little slits, and some of them are still shut tight. Every pup does this on its own clock, anywhere from about day 10 to day 16, so a litter always opens up in a staggered way.

What they see right now is mostly blur. Light and shadow, no real detail. Ears are opening around the same time, so sounds are starting to register too.

The big change at this age: they stop being little sleeping potatoes. They start to scoot with purpose, lift their heads, and notice each other. Gentle handling every day starts now, a few seconds at a time.

💙This is Bodhi, our last little boy from Bella and Tank. 🐾 He’s a petite multigen goldendoodle, which means more than one generation of doodle behind him with extra poodle bred back in. Mom and dad are both about 18 pounds, so Bodhi should finish right around 20. He has the loose, wavy coat families love, and Jessica says he’s outgoing, sweet and obsessed with his rope toy. We sure love this guy.

Curly coat or flatter coat? Here are two goldendoodle pups side by side.

Coats vary because of each pup's genetic makeup. What matters most for shedding is furnishings on the snout. If you have a really sensitive allergy, a little curlier is usually a little better. But for everyday shedding, these two are roughly the same.

Curly or flat, think about temperament first. Get the temperament right and you'll have a great experience.

Valentine's Day puppies, anyone? ❤️ Wyllow and Cody are planning a litter of mini Bernedoodles this winter.

F1, F1B, multigen. The letters confuse a lot of people, so here it is in plain English.

F1 is half Poodle, half Golden Retriever, and may shed. F1B is about 75% Poodle and is the most popular mix, with low to no shedding. Multigen means both parents are doodles, and it's a great pick for allergies.

Will your doodle shed? Look at the muzzle.

That beard and those eyebrows are called furnishings. A Labrador or retriever has a smooth snout with no furnishings. A poodle has a big fluffy muzzle. Genetically, a furnished dog is going to shed less.

So if you have allergies and you're looking at doodles, remember that not all doodles are the same. Check the muzzle.
