These cooler temps are getting those deer up and moving! Congrats to everyone who has had success this early into the season.

Now for a little bad news. At this time I have reached my max capacity on the bird mounts for this season. If you get a bird you would like done, just wrap the head and feet in a damp paper towel and tuck the head under a wing before freezing. I probably will be able to accept birds again by late March or early April. I am trying to prevent a backlog with deer season upon us.

With that said, currently there is no plan to limit the deer mount intake! With Alex working with me we are able to handle more deer volume than in the past. We were able to turn out over 30 deer in under 2 1/2 months (once all of the capes came back from the tannery) while both working full time jobs! So let's keep those deer rolling!

Good luck!

Congrats to all of the youth hunters who have already found success this weekend! And good luck to the rest who are still at it today and tomorrow!

Good luck to everyone this season! Remember with the warmer temperatures in early bow season it is extremely important to get your cape cooled down asap. Call/text with any questions you may have and we can set up a time to get it dropped off.

Availability will be most days after 4pm for now and turnaround times are going to be the same as last season with a 10-12 month estimate. 50% deposit will be required for all mounts dropped off this season.

ALSO!! This is officially the 15th year in business for Doty Taxidermy! It couldn't have been possible without all of you amazing customers! Thank you!

Good luck and shoot straight!

What a whirlwind it's been for the last 2 weeks! All of the 2025 deer mounts are finally complete. Huge thanks goes out to Alex for all of the help this season in the shop. We had 15 drying at one time! Having all of the deer finished by now would not have been possible without him! We're taking a little break now for a few weeks and then finishing up the last 3 pieces from 2025. All should be done by early October in time for the new season to start!
