After being abandoned outside our shelter earlier this month, we're happy to report that these tabby girls have found their furr-ever home.
Rowan and Rooney are the first-ever foster fails for Sue, a founder of Friends of Felines. She estimated she's fostered about 1,500 cats over the past few decades. Years ago, before we had a shelter, our rescue intake room was in her home.
Sue told us the time was right for her. She lost several of her kitties due to old age last year, and her only resident cat died recently of heart failure. She knew these girls' story and thought her home would make for a good beginning for their next chapter.
So far, Sue reports they like to wreak havoc in her cattery. "They're very creative in their destruction," she said. But she suspects their full personalities are still coming out after the stress they've been through.
Rooney also loves chasing a laser, and Rowan is starting to catch on with her sister. We wish all three of them the best in their life together!
